Gameboy-style LTTP Simple Mountains by Radien
Updated: 12 Jun 2009 Posted: 12 Jun 2009 Tags: Edited, Greenery, and 3 more Rating[?]: Rating: 4.82/5 (10 ratings) Information:
For those of you who love LTTP mountains but have been quietly wishing for something simpler, there is now something for you: LTTP mountains that behave like Gameboy mountains. :)

These require layering in order to have more versatility, but are very easy to use. They are fully compatible with LTTP simple mountains, as found in the DoR tileset. The tiles on the left side (of shot 2) are all new, whereas the tiles on the right side are necessary, but were released previously. If you want more [View Full Description]
LTTP Simple Mountains (Enhanced) by Radien

These tiles are an altered version of LTTP mountains, made to be simpler and more versatile for users of Zelda Classic. I tried to simplify and reduce the number of tiles without necessarily making them any "smaller." They have been updated several times, and this is the most recent version.

The original tiles used LTTP terrains, but this most recent update uses the newest DoR terrains. It has been improved since the last DoR tileset version, and now contains enhanced dirt tops and a number [View Full Description]

I was tired of the layered cake look of the rock in the pure set, so I made this and added a bunch of textures. I intend to add a few more things.
DoR Mts. for Pure (Lite ver.) by Radien

Well, here they are... the first two pages I'm releasing from Dance of Remembrance's mountain tiles. A long time ago, these were Sludge's Z3-style small mountains. I started editing them to look a little more like LTTP, but they ending up diverging into something rather different.

Several weeks later, the result is an absolutely huge set of multi-purpose mountain tiles. The tiles range on varying levels of difficulty of use.

The portion you see here is the easiest to use. They work like Pu [View Full Description]

A while back I released some tiles called "The New Age Tiles Preview" or something like that, but I found them to be to realistic for my quest (if you're into realism check em out ;)).

These here are mountain tiles from Pokémon Fire Red and Leaf Green. They've been recolored and reformatted to fit your screen - err... I mean - the DoR tileset.
New Mountains (GB-like) by Fox

When I started building Forgotten Memories, I used the Pure Tileset. However, I wanted to make a lot of edits to it. I created new mountain tiles, then soon after, diagonal mountain tiles to go with them. Because these tiles were too complicated for me to use, I opted to completely overhaul the mountains and go for something completely new rather than something that looked like the Game Boy mountains. I now have something new, and I'm releasing those first mountain tiles I created.

Alternate Mountain Tiles by NoeL
Updated: 11 Jul 2006 Posted: 09 Jul 2006 Tags: Mountains, Original, and 1 more Rating[?]: Rating: 4.7/5 (19 ratings) Information:
Alternate mountain tiles for Prophecies. I was considering not using these, but after I spent a little time playing with them I realised they're actually pretty useful. As you can see I've gone for a more Squaresoft design than Zelda, which came about after playing SD3 again (great mountains in that game).

So, 100% custom drawn madness! Aloha! Go Bananas!

***UPDATE***
A few of you said the stairs lacked depth, so I tried to contrast them a bit more.
(Minish Cap Collection) Mt. Crenel Area by Anthus
Updated: 18 Jan 2016 Posted: 28 Nov 2005 Tags: Overworld, Ripped, and 4 more Rating[?]: Rating: 4.67/5 (5 ratings) Information:
This is a rip of about 95% of the tiles from Minish Cap's Mt. Crenel Area. These use 8-bit color, but there is a low-fi 16 color version as well, but they are more limited. This is an 11-year-later update to on of my 2005 submissions :P The palette is kind of messy, and I'm looking for ways to improve my palette building so tips are appreciated.

Height Transitions (for LTTP Simple Mountains) by Radien
Updated: 30 Jan 2009 Posted: 17 Jan 2009 Tags: 16-color, Edited, and 3 more Rating[?]: Rating: 4.6/5 (4 ratings) Information:
Well, here they are, the infamous LTTP height transitions. These will allow LTTP Simple Mountains to behave in a manner other than pancakes under certain circumstances. They are similar to the "slopes" that appeared in the original LTTP, except these are specifically designed to transition from one height to another without necessarily ending the ridge.

Be warned: these tiles are very easy to misuse. Do NOT use them as a quick fix when you've painted your mountain ridge into a corner. They [View Full Description]
Single-Tier ALttP Mountains by Geoffrey
Updated: 22 Jan 2014 Posted: 22 Jan 2014 Tags: Mountains, Overworld, and 1 more Rating[?]: Rating: 4.6/5 (4 ratings) Information:
A few years ago I was in need of some single-tier mountains, and so I made them. Perhaps two years ago, after displaying them in SotW, I promised someone that I would upload them. Today I cleaned them up and transferred them into DoR. Is it ever too late to fulfill a promise? Perhaps, but here they are regardless--for you, Mr. Unknown Person that requested them.
LTTP-perspective Pure Mountains by Radien

I've made something I'm not at all sure anybody will actually want, but for some reason I felt like they should exist. :P

That something is a set of LTTP-perspective mountains based on the original Pure cliffs. They are made in glorious 3 browns, 1 black, and 2 greens.

This mountain set is not entirely complete, though it is close. I would like to gauge its popularity (if any) before putting any more effort into it. If you like these tiles but want a more complete set, feel free to PM me b [View Full Description]
