Color-Reduced BS Cliffs by Pteryx
Updated: 10 May 2008 Posted: 10 May 2008 Tags: 16-color, Edited, and 3 more Rating[?]: Rating: 4/5 (5 ratings) Information:
These are exactly what it says on the title -- versions of the BS Zelda cliffs or mountains with fewer colors. The versions I originally created for myself are up top, and use black plus four additional colors. The ones below remove the light borders from the rock edges in order to use even fewer colors and thus conform to NES standards, as per request.

Usage Notes: These are transparent as is, so either use them with layers or fill in the transparent parts as desired. Also, the tile immed [View Full Description]
DoR Snow and Sand by Radien
Updated: 11 Nov 2007 Posted: 11 Nov 2007 Tags: 16-color, Edited, and 3 more Rating[?]: Rating: 4.11/5 (8 ratings) Information:
The original DoR tileset was constructed in a way that allowed users to use grass tiles in place of sand by altering the palette to use whites instead of greens. This, however, won't work in the updated tileset (coming soon), unless you want frozen grass on your overworld instead of snow.

In SD3, sand doubles as snow, with just a simple palette swap. DoR, however, requires more than a simple palette swap to use sand as snow, because sand uses the same browns as the mountains and trees do. Ad [View Full Description]

A small rip a came across in my RPG Maker folders. So, I ripped it into ZC and did some recoloring. It think they turned out pretty well. Goes right into the pure tile set, and also comes with a blank version, for layers.

Some doors I made using the dungeon doors and the rock tiles, which I was going to use in a quest that I then updated into another tileset. All the tiles are there for the door combo set.

This is the hills, mountains and lake background from The Minish Cap. I took a screenshot, then thanks to photoshop I reduced it to 32 colours and changed the size to make it useable in ZC. Could be used for a tite screen I guess

Well, whatever. Enjoy :D:.
Alternate Mountain Tiles by NoeL
Updated: 11 Jul 2006 Posted: 09 Jul 2006 Tags: Mountains, Original, and 1 more Rating[?]: Rating: 4.7/5 (19 ratings) Information:
Alternate mountain tiles for Prophecies. I was considering not using these, but after I spent a little time playing with them I realised they're actually pretty useful. As you can see I've gone for a more Squaresoft design than Zelda, which came about after playing SD3 again (great mountains in that game).

So, 100% custom drawn madness! Aloha! Go Bananas!

***UPDATE***
A few of you said the stairs lacked depth, so I tried to contrast them a bit more.
Final Fantasy Mountains by Skipper
Updated: 13 Jun 2006 Posted: 13 Jun 2006 Tags: 16-color, Mountains, and 1 more Rating[?]: Rating: 4.5/5 (13 ratings) Information:
Well! My first submission to the PureZC database is finally here! :D

These tiles consist of realistic mountain tiles from a Final Fantasy chipset. Now, remember that I DID NOT actually compile it myself, I just reduced the colors, then got rid of a couple of useless tiles.

It's only 16 colors, so only 1 CSet is needed.

P.S.- Please actually USE them before you comment. It really bugs me when people don't even DOWNLOAD a package, yet they rate it.

(Minish Cap Collection) Mt. Crenel Area by Anthus
Updated: 18 Jan 2016 Posted: 28 Nov 2005 Tags: Overworld, Ripped, and 4 more Rating[?]: Rating: 4.67/5 (5 ratings) Information:
This is a rip of about 95% of the tiles from Minish Cap's Mt. Crenel Area. These use 8-bit color, but there is a low-fi 16 color version as well, but they are more limited. This is an 11-year-later update to on of my 2005 submissions :P The palette is kind of messy, and I'm looking for ways to improve my palette building so tips are appreciated.
LTTP-perspective Pure Mountains by Radien
Updated: 14 Sep 2005 Posted: 14 Sep 2005 Tags: Edited, Greenery, and 3 more Rating[?]: Rating: 4.57/5 (6 ratings) Information:
I've made something I'm not at all sure anybody will actually want, but for some reason I felt like they should exist. :P

That something is a set of LTTP-perspective mountains based on the original Pure cliffs. They are made in glorious 3 browns, 1 black, and 2 greens.

This mountain set is not entirely complete, though it is close. I would like to gauge its popularity (if any) before putting any more effort into it. If you like these tiles but want a more complete set, feel free to PM me b [View Full Description]
LTTP Simple Mountains (Enhanced) by Radien
Updated: 30 Jan 2009 Posted: 15 Aug 2005 Tags: Edited, Greenery, and 3 more Rating[?]: Rating: 4.75/5 (7 ratings) Information:
These tiles are an altered version of LTTP mountains, made to be simpler and more versatile for users of Zelda Classic. I tried to simplify and reduce the number of tiles without necessarily making them any "smaller." They have been updated several times, and this is the most recent version.

The original tiles used LTTP terrains, but this most recent update uses the newest DoR terrains. It has been improved since the last DoR tileset version, and now contains enhanced dirt tops and a number [View Full Description]
