I love Rabites, they're so cute. :3
Anyways, I use these as a replacement for Stalfos, on paths, forests and the like. There are only two directions, but that's what it was like in Final Fantasy Adventure. Just assign his left sprite to down and left, and his right to up and right. Looks decent enough, and it's how FFA did it.
Warning: It'll probably take a little bit of annoying pallete work, nothing too hard though.
