Quite enjoyable a quest, albeit in some cases feels odd. Some of the levels here were quite fun. Level 5 in particular was a fun one to work out, and the final level is quite manageable (mostly).
However, it does feel like some levels were an afterthought. Levels 7 and 8 are quite small compared to the levels that directly surround it, and the overworld is a really weird shape (it's like a 12x7 grid or something).
There's some bugs, mainly from not playing on the version the quest was actually made for. (The middle Level 9 entrance is placed to high, which causes Link to exit immediately, but using F6 continue or just holding up seemed to have Link start normally). That final Ganon battle sucked though lol.
Looking forward to seeing if the 2nd Quest improves on it. Overall, 3.5/5.

I decided to start playing through this again yesterday after having not played it for years and I wanted to see if I'd still like the first custom quest I ever played. While it's not the best quest ever and there are definitely some iffy design choices, it's still being fun to play for the most part.
But... there's an issue when playing this quest with version 2.50. The second (middle) entrance to level 9 has the entrance warp slightly into the room instead of on the screen edge. 1.90 (and 1.84 I assume) didn't care too much about this and probably did Link entering the screen correctly anyway. I mean I was able to beat the quest in 1.90 back in the day, so I assume this worked. However, 2.50 turns Link toward the door he entered from and marches him right back out of the dungeon as soon as he enters.
I figured I'd mention this issue for anyone that wants to play the quest. It should still work fine in 1.90 (or 1.84 if you have that), but you probably won't be able to finish it in 2.50 unless you cheat. I dunno if this is also the case in 1.92 or not.
