Let's cut to the chase.

 

I'm currently stuck on Level 5, and I need some advice. Specifically, how to deal with all those wiz robes, specifically, the ones that go through walls. I suppose this could be a general quest thing as well. I really need to improve my game against these guys. You guys wouldn't happen to have any tips to dealing with them.

 

In addition to that, I would really love to know the location of the Map in level 5 of this quest. I'm sure it would make things a lot easier to be able to decipher this maze.

 

When it's all said and done though I really enjoy this quest, it may be an old one but it's awesome to play these. Then again, I am playing the quests from oldest to newest.

 

If any of you can help I'd really appreciate it, consider this a place to also discuss this quest if you want. I'd love to be able to discuss these old quests as I go through them with you.

Basically always keep to the side or behind them so they don't look at you straight on. I can't remember if you can hit them while they are translucent in that quest, but in alot of quests while they are phasing you can still hit them with your sword, which makes them really easy to beat if you can get them in a phasing loop going along a wall so you can keep hitting them. Other than that, get an upgraded shield, maybe some bombs and arrows, depending on what weaknesses they have.

Other than that, I can't help with the Level 5 map as I haven't played this in a very long time

The map is at the very right of the level horizontally and in the middle vertically. Unfortunately, it's behind a one-way shutter, so you'll probably not be able to get it until you reach near the end of the level since there are at least 2 or 3 different stair warps you have to go through to get to it. Level 5 is the most confusing level in the quest though, so I don't know how much the map would help anyway. You may want to start manually mapping it out on paper, in a Paint program, or something similar to note all the warp locations and destinations.

 

As far as the Wizzrobes that move around, you will be getting an item in the dungeon that makes them a bit trivial. But until then, the best advice I can give if nothing else works is to ignore them unless you absolutely have to fight them to progress. The rooms they are in don't have any item drops that I recall and the doors are typically already open if they are going to open. The only exceptions are two northern doors that lead to old men that tell you hints near the center of the level.

 

I actually made a map showing lines connecting all of the stair warps in the level that I could upload if you really want it, but that might spoil the dungeon a bit too much since it shows the screens in detail.

Thanks you guys, what I was really worried about was missing out on some incredibly important items... I guess I'll be searching for that good item now, thanks for the advice guys. I'll let you know if I get stuck again.

Um... Was the arrow the weapon you were talking about? Cause it didn't work on either versions of Wizrobes... I really hope I'm not doing something wrong here.

 

Edit: In case your wondering I tried Editing the last post earlier but it wouldn't let me do so for some reason. I just found the mirror shield, so yay. Complete level 5 and now I'm on level 6 and have the best sword. Let's hope I can get through this.
