Description
UPDATE, 6/2/11:
In order to improve these tiles, I took a suggestion to make a version that is reflective in the way that Minish Cap rupees are. This new version is called "Pearly," and is shown in the first preview shot to the right. The Pearly version works the same as the other tiles, but has a solid gleam rather than lines or blank sides. The two other types, "Shiny" and "Normal," are still available.

(Note: THESE ARE NOT RIPS.)

After the incredibly popular and and highly-demanded Phantom Hourglass rupees, I knew that nothing could satiate the public's desire for alternate forms of ZC currency. The fans had spoken, and the rupees must flow.

...Okay, so that's a load of bull. People aren't really that picky about their rupees, and PH rupees didn't excite the masses. But it's rather satisfying being able to say you brought something to the public first. Playing Spirit Tracks, I noticed that the rupees are a bit different from Phantom Hourglass, and I had the urge to draw them into ZC by sight, just me looking at the screen with mouse in hand.

They ended up looking almost too simple, actually (probably because they were designed for a 3D environment), so I decided to add some detail in the form of the usual "glints" you see on Legend of Zelda rupees. Those are marked as the "shiny" ST-style rupees. Feel free to use them if you like my additional changes.

These tiles are colored into the DoR palette, and are generally pretty flexible. You won't be needing 8-bit for them to work properly (in DoR, at least).

I recommend reading the directions (in TXT file) included in the ZIP. I've also included an image that demonstrates the standard Zelda money denominations. The example screenshots are the enlarged and therefore unusable; you will need to download the actual zip file.

Based closely on the in-game sprites from Nintendo's Spirit Tracks.

Did I mention these are drawn, and not rips? I did not touch an emulator or screenshot for this. If you post a review and call them "rips," I give all the other reviewers permission to mock you for not reading the download descriptions.
