That was what lay in wait for the thirteen who came to this strange land, this mythical land, divided into four regions, a swamp, encased within a deep forest; a mountain, encrusted with snow; a bay, vast and treacherous; and a canyon, hidden in the shadow of a foreboding tower.

The thirteen who arrived here endured many harsh trials that deterred even the most steadfast adventurers.

And now they were searching. For what? Only time would tell for all of them.

The only knowledge they could gather from the indigenous people were that something lay in wait for them in the center of the world, the hub where people would soon gather for great festivities.

The thirteen resolved to gather at the center, but were all warned of each other's existences; that only one from each area would be able to pass the trials and reach the center, and so to proceed with caution.

Did they doubt? Did they fear? Or did they go forward with confidence, unafraid of the obstacles, unafraid of the result, unwavering in their resolve to see what lie in wait for them in this strange land?
