The Bfxr Sound Set overhauls all of Zelda's sound effects aside from the fanfares and longer noises such as boss growls. And as you might have guessed, every sound was created using the online tool Bfxr. I also used Audacity to normalize some of these noises. This set's goal is to keep a retro aesthetic in mind while utilizing soft, pleasing synths. It should fit reasonably well in Classic and modern tilesets alike.
Some things to keep in mind with this sound set...
- To edit these, open the .bfxrsound files in Bfxr. Make sure you clear your sound bank before you load the layered sounds like Din's Fire!
- All of the sounds are waaay different than the default ones you've been hearing for years. Give them some time to grow on you before you complain.

- Since these SFX are much easier on the ears, they are very base-heavy. Make sure to wear headphones and configure your computer's sound to hear them correctly.
- The Message sound effect crackles when your rupees refill. This is a Zelda Classic error, so use the default sound if it grates your nerves.

- This set is included in the Koten tileset, so check that download to see if you loaded them properly.
