Simple, straight, and to the point, this allows easy, and modular screen violence during explosions; and Avataro was prudent in isolating each function so that a game designer can determine what explosion types generate this effect, and in using constants to divide normal, and 'super' bomb blasts.
I'd suggest a separate pair for eweapons, but the user can easily add those. I'd also be concerned with using this on screens with multiple bomb-spitting enemies, with respect to maintaining playability , but that's a design choice.
This seems a welcome addition to special effects libraries in any game.

Perfect, just what I need for my WIP quest.
EDIT: I actually planned on doing a script similar to this one after being inspired by the bombs from that awful Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde game. But, since I currently lack scripting skills, you've (coincidentally) managed to do the work for me, heh.
