Eyes Full of Love in a Dying World

Description:
a direct sequel to "Flowers and Quetzal Plumes," if you can't tell by the obvious segue, identical instrumentation, and similar motifs / structure. Actually the 3rd part of an improvised sequence ("Flowers" was the 2nd), I decided to arrange it after being very satisfied with how the last one turned out. might orchestrate the first one too if I have time, idk.

this one's a bit darker, in contrast to the reckless jubilance of "Flowers"

Bela Bartok - I put in a reference to the first theme of his "Hungarian Sketches" in here

Very nice composition. The melodies, harmonies, and rhythms are all very nice. If I were to use this in a game, I might break it up into a few different songs but would use them all within close proximity. I would definitely use it in type of prolonged dramatic scene.

While listening, I had a few remarks:
  • The transition at 2:20 I think is too sudden. Maybe add some type of timpani crescendo lead-in to the crash or something to that effect.
  • The MIDI guitar strumming starting at 5:18 doesn't work for me. I could imagine how it would sound nice on a real guitar. I'm wondering if there's something you can do to soften that texture. A few ways I could think of are to strip down the strummed chords themselves to maybe just power chords, as well as varying the volume between each strum to sort of fake the accentuation a real guitar player would probably add to the strumming.

The rest of the song is nice and I don't really have much to say for it. Do you have any plans on recording a non-MIDI version of this song? Because if you did I would love to hear it.
