The mission was already very nice from the start...
But I had to give up immediately, because I discovered that it seems you can't play with the 2.55.X player. I've already encountered a strange bug:
In the DUNGEONs, as you go up, there's a strange solidity at times!!

A nice and fun quest. A bit easy maybe. Finished the quest with 13 Hearts and no idea where the spin attack might be. ;p
Running out of bombs was a regular thing (I chose the bomb refill!), the looks also are interesting, but often not mine (some shapes formed with rocks/plants).
If I would rate NES-like quests only, I would give it 4 stars, maybe 5. But since there are plenty other kinds of quests with more stuff for me to enjoy and because the rating also serves as a note for myself, I went with "only" 3 stars.

Heya! So I've been poking my way through this over the last weeks and having a lot of fun with it.
However, I came across something I believe may be an oversight. At the upper right of the overworld, you have a screen with a line of trees on the right side. You can burn one of those trees to reveal a staircase, so the screen looks like this. However, as with standard stairs in ZC, you can walk across the top half, and thus into the next screen, like this.
Now, I had the bracelet when I pulled this off, so I was able to push that rock at the bottom and take the raft back to the screen below, like this. But if this isn't an intentional trick on your part, and the player does require the bracelet to move that rock (I didn't start a whole new game to check), then they could become trapped in that screen. And maybe F6-ing to save/continue isn't a big deal to some, but in my case, it was many months after starting ZC that I realized you could do that, so it's possible somebody else may just close the game without saving.
Probably the easiest fix is to change the stair combo's warp from Stairs to Sensitive Warp so that the player will go down them even if they try crossing the top half. Or just place it somewhere else. Or don't. But whatever the case, I figured I should point this out in case you didn't realize.
