Clarification on Hero and Heroine:
They will not be the Hero from BotW. That being said, they are inspired characters from the game and will promote more modern play and art styles. To make it clear, they exist in the BotW universe as new characters to keep them away from copyright issues.
I guess to accentuate this, I could refer to them at this point on as the "bomber twins".
I guess yes at this point, it's safe to reveal that bombs are getting a drop in overall power with the bomber twins getting a damage boost off of them. Also, start with 20 bombs now. YAY!
Hope this clears up some confusion

Many years have passed since the Legend of Zelda. Many of your namesakes have aged and grown. Link, Zelda, and James are now in their 40s, and there has been not a sign of Ganon for a while. But there is hints of time travel and the Keys of Wisdom............
Also, the storyline of James is expected to grow after many, many years.

This is very prototypish, but this is kinda the action I want to bring to this project (in case you want to follow)

Notice the Dracula's Curse-esque/Dawn of Sorrow switching and different tactics/weapons used, some enemies will be strong to certain characters, weak to others. It is a very top-down game, but very different in style to Z1 or Mitsukara's 6th, where you kinda have everything at your disposal with the character. There will also be no sidescrolling present at all.
I'll post a screen once I get a good hold of Cambria and the Hero/Heroine to an acceptable drawing point. James, Link, and Zelda are going to be further edited from the character pack I just released (mostly to look older)

Very, very small piece of public information:
I'm planning three playable characters at least, all with unique item/movesets, possibly five if the copyright situation still allows.
The confirmed ones are a Hero and Heroine, both available from the beginning, and interchangable. Could possibly be namable.
James is also if you were around the Discord confirmed to return, with a brand new storyline.
Link and Zelda MIGHT show up, but this will depend a LOT on the ongoing fluid copyright situation at the time of release. As of now they are being written in, but this is subject to change.
