Following the events of Balance of Nature, Link receives a mysterious visitor then finds that time in Hyrule has ground to a halt. The whole world is locked in one of four times of day and it is up to you to journey from one area to another, recovering the items which were taken from you as the story begins and reclaiming the divided power of the Triforce to get time moving again and defeat those responsible for this.
Each time of day has different tasks to be performed and some dungeons have secrets that can only be found at certain times of day. More freedom of movement is permitted, though ultimately your course is restricted by the need to collect all of the major items. Some new items and scripts are being included to add more variety to dungeons and events.
