Some enemies are redrawn entirely, some are z1 edits. Note that some of them are making use actively of the 4th color (alpha), for these ones I do not recommend to spawn them in enviros they're not normally in. Else you'll need to edit the sprite and replace transparency with the lightest shade available from the fixed palette, white.

Because I didn't know if the engine could take care of certain redundancies, the spritesheet does include redundancies like: color variations and X-axis flips or rotated sprites

Context
I've been studying LoZ visuals for some weeks now, mainly the overworld, its minimalism, its abstract nature. Noticing how environments are presented in an odd way, where top-down meets front view, where the very same rocks can be green or brown, where tree trunks and leaves are blue. Where all the mountains you will ever see are just one middle tile, one edge and four corners. While I wanted to rejuvenate the graphics, using post-CRT pixel art techniques, I needed some personal rules, in order to preserve the readability and the atmosphere of z1:

I shall paint with no more than 3 colors+alpha per sprite/tile
I shall unify my palette and keep it tight, no unnecessary colors I can't justify
I shall follow the z1 hue logic for enemies, warm is weak, cold is strong
I shall never sprite with outlines, it wastes one precious color anyway
I shall deliver the same level of quality seen in the original, if unable, then abstain
