Hey hey! It's time for yet another Quest Club Poll! I'm excited since it's actually my picks this time!
#1:
Hyrule Fantasy Gaiden: Spell of Mudora 2nd Quest by runa
Estimated Playtime: 4-6 Hours
This is an oddball inclusion, given the quest has already been picked for QC, but hear me out. When we did the QC for it, the 2nd Quest was not released yet, and the quest had actually gone through a pretty massive revision after that Quest Club. I think this could be a really fun one to come back to, to play the 2nd quest, and if anybody wants to join to play the original instead, they absolutely could, since the quest is very much short enough that it will not take the full month to beat.
#2:
Saint James Place by Joelmacool
Estimated Playtime: 4-5 Hours (A Side Only)
A funny little Quest with the quirky gimmick of being 2 Quests: one of which has an absurd amount of love and has some of the coolest aesthetics I've seen in a ZC Quest, the other a relatively (by the creator's admission) potentially unbeatable mess of a Quest made in 24 hours and it rules. This one as a discussion piece could be 90% the actual quest on offer, and the remaining 10% dedicated to the pure comedy of the original quest.
#3:
Pessimistic Pizza by Exate
Estimated Playtime: 5-6 Hours
I stand pretty firm on this being the quintessential joke quest, in spite of some dated humor from time to time. The 2nd dungeon is one of the most iconic dungeons I think out of any ZC quest, and the general quality of the quest skyrockets after that point as well. The difficulty curve is good, the dungeons are creative, it makes use of obscure systems in ZQuest to make some areas more visually interesting, and at its best, it's hilarious. I think even years later, this quest will still continue to be timeless and one of the first quests I'd show somebody if they want to get into ZC.
#4:
Link's Decision 2: Chronos the Tears of Fate by obake-san
Estimated Playtime: 15 Hours
I never actually finished this one. I got about halfway through before scheduling conflicts resulted in me just kinda dropping it for other things I was doing at the time. The quest doesn't look like much on the surface, but I had fun from what I've played of it, and has one of the more interesting progressions I've seen in a quest. As the screenshots imply, there's a point where you can pick one of four classes, and that choice effectively completely alters the progression of the remainder of the quest. It's insanely cool to see, and I think that intriguing concept in particular would work really well in the Quest Club setting, as it almost guarantees a 3/4 chance of having a completely different experience with the quest compared to another player's. This one is a legitimate consideration.
#5:
Golvellius la Quete du Second by wonderboy.bobi
Estimated Playtime: 10+ Hours
One of the few quests I played. I quite enjoy it because of the classic feel and nostalgia. Probably has to do something with the sound effects.
I barely played this one but it's kind of insane how much this one kinda gets overlooked. I really wanna play through this one some day, it's so pretty.
#6:
Legend of Amy Rose 3 by Eddy
Estimated Playtime: 10+ Hours
One of Eddy's newer quests, The Legend of Amy Rose 3 is a re-imagining of Labyrinna and Oracle of Ages in ZC featuring Eddy's "favorite" Sonic protagonist,
SonicAmy Rose and the Sonic characters and shenanigans that come with her. It was a lot of fun, introduces a lot of cool ideas and it would be fun to revisit for the sake of Quest Club.
I remember people liking this one. I recall Eddy putting quite a lot into this one and it just seems like a well made quest.
