It's Hookshot Time!
No, Moosh, no!
This week I made a base screen advertising my own quest and three of you suckers plus myself fell for it! Hah! Now it's time for you all to cast your votes, and may the best ad win.
Here's the base screen:
And the entrants:
Twilight Knight
Hook's shot for the quest
FTX6004
Something really basic ass sky screen.
Zeron
So this is a hookshot shop? Huh. Guess it's been in the dark world this whole time
Moosh
Okay, but what if I made the screen a third time?

Twilight Knight: A cool interpretation of the base screen as a cave. I like the water, though I think the deep sections aren't quite clear enough that they're supposed to be deep as it is. I initially read it as two levels of shallow water but on closer inspection I can see pits under some of it.
FTX6004: Very nice palette, nice use of elevation, and then that subscreen! If you happen to be cooking up a full quest here, I'll be very eager to play it.
Zeron: I like the interpretation of the lake being on an upper layer, possibly also explaining where the waterfalls are coming from. Was a little confused by what's going on on the right side. It looks like maybe the moon is being reflected off the water, but then it's pitch black unlike the lighting of the rest of the screen. Was that the intent?
Moosh: I was unaware FTX6004 had already submitted a Firebird screen when I made this. Oops! I used Firebird 1.90 because I thought the lack of layers would make it easy to design but then I remembered how confusing images with combo cycling palettes can be to edit palettes for.
In case anyone wants to see the base screen the base screen was based off of:

The pit on the right is showing Hyrule's moon. It's a play on the "upside down world" concept (and probably Checker Knights. I happened to see it not long before). In short, I chose a dark world palette because I hadn't used it yet, and the pit looked boring by itself. Consequently, I tried adding stars (which were removed to make the GIF work) and a moon. That worked well enough that I kept it. Also, the upper lake is a fortunate coincidence. I couldn't make the mountains work otherwise, so I did that (I agree that it worked out well).
You three did quite well. All three are excellent blends of faithfulness and creatively improving the original screen. Looks like I have to do something more creative (for once. maybe it will finally happen) next time to keep up.

Don't worry Zeron, I voted for you. Yours seemed to match the gist of the original screen the best, while using a tileset that isn't overused. Not everyone follows the carbon copy opinion system.

Meant to respond to this earlier and forgot, but this is a really cool concept and I'd love to see a quest that approaches a dark world like this.

I definitely agree, so there was no way it wasn't making the final screen (maybe I, or someone else, will use it in a quest contest sometime. The concept seems about the right size for one of those). The Depths in TotK touch on the idea (and were probably an inspiration), but it could be taken much further in ZC.
