A year ago I remembered when used to play and create many quests (2.10) back in 05-07. I replayed many of those and had a blast playing them again (Labyrinth of Dinus, Marios Insane Rampage, the Metroid ones, the Megaman ones, Mr. Z games such as the Ocarina of Time remake, and some more). The quests I made were never posted and lost forever, I was too young and dumb, never knew how-to and english is not my 1st language, I even attemped searching on old disks but failed, some silly quests i made (some incomplete) were named: Enter the Matrix, Vegeta the Saiyan, Labyrinth Castle, Espio Adventure, Ragnarok Legends... Im actually been redoing one of these this last year (on and off) cause it always had a special place on me so Im on a long awaited mission with it i hope to release something soon... but well Im just leaving this here cause im just curious if theres some OGs out there with similar stories about unreleased quests.

I've also got some quests I worked on but never finished, as well as some with the file gone permanently due to me moving computers over the years. The two prominent ones I dropped were called 'Triforce of Legacy' and 'Whistle of Wisdom'. Both of which I made decent progress into but then dropped for one reason or another.

I'm the queen of never finishing stuff.

I literally have like 20 old unfinished quest projects sitting on my laptop hard drive alone lol.

(not to mention a bunch of even older projects from before 2019 that are just entirely lost at this point)

Maybe there should be a subcategory for these unfinished quest to be uploaded and archived, kind of like the newest demos subcategory? I think a lot of people would love to play them, and maybe someone would want to finish them. Maybe a new contest series to finish the better ones to keep the quest database strong?

 

As a newer member I must say that I've already blown through most of the available quests and demos. Ive searched out all the independently hosted quests not on PureZQ. I even went back through all the yearly contest demos in the archive. There were a lot of great ideas and efforts in there. Its sad that a lot of the really early ones from 2006/05 are gone due to dead file hosting sites.
