The Silver Arrows should be along the path to the boss of Level 9; they're not hidden or anything, so you shouldn't miss them! Though, you will need bait to finish the quest!

I can go into the room I need the bait in, but I can't get around to the other side.

To access the other side, you'll need to find a hidden staircase in the west side of the dungeon; this should be located a few screens north of where you found the Magic Key! You'll need to push a block in a specific direction to access the staircase (it should be in a room with flames and reset-room tiles).

Got to Level 9, and I'm missing one heart piece. Any clues on to what the most missable pieces are?

There are a few that come to mind, but it's hard to say for the final heart container piece. The only ones that I can think of right now are the few that are attainable by diving in certain pools of water, the easy-to-miss bombable wall on Screen 10 (one screen below the top-left corner of Yiu), and another bombable wall in the screen to the right of the abandoned dungeon (Screen 3E). The quest is unpassworded, so if it's not these spots then feel free to scan Yiu for the missing piece!

I'm playing A-side.  i have the entire Triforce.  Given how far I am there are three things I feel like I'm missing --

First, can you be a little more specific on where I can get a shield upgrade?  I've looked everywhere and can't find it.   Second, is there a cross or amulet item somewhere so I can see invisible enemies?  Third, should I have a bracelet item yet?  Everywhere unexplored on the overworld seems to require it.

 

Very fun game overall!  

 

Edit:  Found the answer to two of the three questions.  Still wondering about the 2nd though.  A certain level really sucked without it and I just had to brute force my way through.  

 

Edit 2:  Never mind I missed a whole path in L9.  Found the silver arrows.  Very easy to get to Ganon without them though.

It seems like you found some of the things you asked for but I'll answer all the questions anyway (in case others have the same questions):

- There is only one shop in the game that sells the Shield, and it's located in the centre-north of Yiu. I may add another - easier to reach - shop, since I found several people struggle to get the Shield.
- The Amulet can be found in a secret shop, located if you bomb a wall in the top-right of Yiu (one screen down, and one screen left from the very far top-right corner of the world). If this was too hard to spot, I'll try and make it easier to find.
- The Bracelet is located in Level 5! I'm quite surprised you were able to get all pieces of the Triforce without it...

Thanks!  I did find the bracelet and the shield, never found the amulet.  The only triforce level that can't be accessed without the bracelet (at least I think so) is 8.

What in the absolute hell????  I launch A-side in 2.55 Alpha 1.04, and it loads me in the northwest in a screen filled w. heart sprites, where I instantly die w. no keyboard input whatsoever

What did I do wrong? LOL

You may have loaded the quest in the wrong version; the quest should work if you install 2.55.7 here: https://zquestclassic.com/releases/

 

Though if you still spawn in the wrong screen, do let me know!
