When I fall into this pit. I end up in this dark room with bats.

I can't use the candle to light the room.

 

However, when I try to walk through a door (in any direction), I fall back into the same room.

 

What am I doing wrong?

I have no idea what's going on in the quest, but that's a cave/item cellar warp which is the default when the creator doesn't choose one

Nothing. I forgot to set up the warp for the pit combo correctly. Fixing soon.

I should really create a help file for this quest...

It's one of my more complicated ones.

 

Anyways, here's the answer.

Go north of the graveyard near level 4 to the village.

Change the time of day to night.

Go south and east to the river.

The person who wants the fish hook is to the south.

This version of the quest is now the only one which will be getting bug fixes and updates.

Failure to use 2.55 or new could cause unintended bugs.

Recently played through this on stream trying to make sure to 100% it, is there anything I'm missing? I believe there is one token of friendship that I'm missing, as there was a bug I encountered where one scene (the one with Nayru and the Great Fairy) would keep playing whenever I entered that scene and I ended up with a duplicate token, but after finishing the trading sequence and looking at every screen on the overworld at every time of day I don't think there were any more Nayru encounters? But I probably missed one and I'm not sure where.

Here's a breakdown of all the Nayru encounters.

 

1. South of Hyrule Castle, Day
2. East of Isolated Isle, Dawn
3. Far east side of Gerudo Desert, Twilight
4. In the Swamp of Sadness south of Noxious Marsh, Twilight
5. Outside Abandoned Villa, Night
6. North of Hyrule Castle, Day (This one required a special script to even work)
7. On the road to level 6, Day
8. In the sky, Dawn
9. North of Snowfall Resort, Dawn
10. East of Hyrule Castle, Night
