Passage Through Time is a Zelda Classic quest designed and created by ywkls.  In detail, it is a sequel to a previous quest I played before by ywkls, Balance Of Nature.  Influenced by the Oracle Zelda games I presume, Passage has a style where time of day can be changed and different things happen to the area, treasures are located in different spots, and among other cool stuff too.  Enjoy my take at this blindly.

The journey of  thousand miles begins with a single step... or some such.

In case it isn't immediately obvious, this quest was far more heavily scripted than its predecessor.

Also, for those watching; the time warp system as shown in the LP has a bug where it doesn't look right if played in a version of ZC other than 2.50.2. Hopefully, SCKnuckles can either update the version, or I can send him a patched quest file that'll work right on older versions of ZC.

There are 10 tons of sidequests in this game.

Also, the oddity with the trading sequence guy is because until you finish his task; that screen is on a different DMap. (I did that so that he'd disappear once the trading sequence for that stage was over.)

Have fun!

I have gotten the correct version of ZC and will be doing some more recording this weekend.

Getting stuck up by the Temple of Time like you did was not intentional and was in fact caused by a tile solidity error that has now been fixed.

And in case it wasn't immediately obvious from finding the last dungeon so quick, this game is extremely non-linear.

That cave by your old house (the one to Holodrum) can be accessed now (although I don't know if you've done it by the time I post this). You'll find something inside that'll help your search for those gold skulltulas. (Assuming you survive the experience.)

Something else me and a few others noted is that you haven't really created any new playlists for your videos for quite a while This means that finding things like the LP for Balance of Nature means having to scroll back through several months worth of posts. Just wondering why this was, is all.

I like how you just stumbled across the start of the trading quest trying to get thrown out.

I did, however; change the appearance of that Gerudo so it's more obvious that it is different from the others.

Does it make me evil to laugh when you're one screen away from level 3 and I want to scream, "Walk under the trees! It's right there!"

The sound effect for the Spider's Mark plays on the same screen as any Gold Skulltula. It just plays at all times of day if you haven't collected the Gold Skulltula for that screen.

If you haven't already found it, the blue chest near the shop that sells the candle has something which you most definitely want.

It'd be nice if your original post also includes a link to the quest file/database entry as well :) Edit: Oh, that's already done and the link is in the top-right corner of this web page.

Well, that took a whole lot longer than I expected.

I don't know that there's an easier way to make level 3's location apparent. A sign or NPC, maybe? Anyways, you found it (along with a lot of other stuff).

FYI, only 3 of the blue chests contain rupees. All the rest have valuable items like scrolls, a wallet and bomb bag upgrade, a potion and a piece of heart.

I could probably go back and make it where that arrows spawn from pots too now, but the effort required to script it... nah. New stuff is more fun to do.

That mini-boss Moidorm was intended to be the last boss of level 3, then I got an idea for something else.

Yes, level 5 is incredibly hard. It was mostly unintentionally so. The enemies have more health than normal and nearly the whole dungeon is 2d. But... the reward will let you get those long-awaited sword and tunic upgrades. So... maybe it's worth it? I don't know. I die a lot in level 5 myself, to be honest.

It's one of those times where my concept of the dungeon failed whenever it came to the actual creation of it. That being said, I'm not entirely sure how I'd want to try and fix it. Hopefully, you'll be able to get through.

I knew you could do it! If you haven't already figured it out by now, the Pegasus Boots let you do basically the same thing as in LTTP; smash piles of rocks. You've probably noted several of those (one in a cave right outside the dungeon) and they lead to various prizes. Included are the level 2 sword, blue tunic and level 7.

Believe it or not, level 5 didn't originally have pots. I added them in because I got tired of dying all of the time,

The Big Boo was created after I received a suggestion for making a boss that had to be killed by a spin attack. Of course, bombs and candle fire would have worked as well. The script was created by Moosh (along with the one that runs all the other sideview enemies in the dungeon).

Comparitively speaking that dungeon's boss is super easy, so you shouldn't have too much trouble finishing it off.
