So after dealing with a few personal things, I decided to resume progress at a steady pace. Tonight, I finally got to finishing the active subscreen! It was hard designing due to limited amount of items, but I think it's at its best. I added a few items to show off the general idea thanks to cheat 4 (yet again)... Also not going to reveal the purposes of the stone tablets so feel free to take a guess or two (or not).

Also removed the name of the quest status item cause spoilers. But yeah, yet again, another short update... I have been also fine-tuning some things, but I won't show this update.

Looking really good! I'm liking the overall layout of the subscreen and that bomb sprite looks really neat!

It certainly looks nice, but I am not sure whether I am the biggest fan of the quest status item frame. It might look better with the actual thing in it, so I am not going to complain. Nice progress, considering it all works, too.

Looks great! A minor suggestion would be to add a line beneath the heart pieces gauge. Other than that, I have no complaints!

Thanks everyone! I personally don't think this quest really needs A+B since there's only four active items really and two supplements. Plus I want to use L+R scrolling without any hassle since people seem to be really critical about the lack of it in quests. I know it was jest, but I kind of wanted to take the opportunity to clarify in case its brought up again.

 

I think I finalized the subscreen for sure now. I tried putting a line beneath the HCP gauge but it looked odd. Gonna reveal all the items (nothing really spoiler-worthy especially since there's no quest status items implemented as of yet).

I love how you keep it simple with the items, will sure make a great quest (you know, like everyone always complains how you either not use all your items often enough or you have to switch them so often around that it start to unbearable)

 

How about moving the "triforce"-area a bit more to the left and place the heart also in the middle next to it (not symmetrical, but I think it will look good, though no idea if the free place is already used). You could place a 1/4 info above it to compensate the Heart being smaller. Also, for the items on the side, how about moving them a bit more together since the distance to the item in the middle is a lot bigger than the distance to the upper/lower line.

@Shane You could always plop the frame like you did around the stone tablets around the HCP indicator, just scale down the HCP indicator a bit to fit within the frame.

If the sword is automatically mapped to A, why is it in the left box on the passive?  THIS'LL MAKE ME ANGRY
