Short update: As much as I enjoyed how Ancient Waterworks was turning out, I didn't feel the mechanic it had was being explored enough and I came up with several cool ideas that demanded an overhaul in order to implement them. As it stands, it's ~10%, so the redesign has seen some good progress. Here's a quick teaser to show what the redesign has in store:


And yeah, I took advantage of some criticisms and suggestions I got in the previous update... also yeah, I re-sprited the candle.

So yeah, apologies for the delay in progress and the shortness of this update, but the redesign I feel will be worth it in the end. I will see you all in the next update when hopefully this dungeon is finally completed.

I like the new candle sprite btw. It fits this quest's style much better than the standard candle sprites.

I think I'm more concerned about that one screen below. 2 seconds and we're already in the teaser screen. Damn.

 

Either way, this is looking good so far. Looking forward to seeing what the whole overhaul is gonna look like.
