And for fairness, make sure you try out the other entries and vote for which one of the 8 you think is best.
The other point of this thread is for those who need help playing the quest or bugs to post. Hold off on suggestions and future development until the expo has completed.
But don't hesitate to share your experience or reply to questions like where an item or important location is. Part of the fun of this quest is discovery, but there is nothing wrong trying to help others find their way.

Hey! I'm really loving this quest, and I finished all other quests from the Winter Expo. This is my last one and I am going for 100%. So, in Brinestar, I need some help with the block puzzle 2 screens below and 1 screen left of the compass red mark. If anyone can help, it is very much appreciated. Thanks!
*Edit: Nevermind, I figured it out.

I'm loving this quest as well, though I am stuck in just the first world. x_x Wondering if I need the candle to leave, though I have not found it, yet. (It looks like I do, to progress through the dungeon, though.) I have also found a few caves I can't seem to do anything in (two with a few with skeletons & one torch, and one that looks like it is just above the path to the boss key.) Did the RNG fall short for me, or am I missing something? Edit: Boy does it figure that I would figure it out soon after posting that...-_- I feel like an idiot.

Now that the quest has been played for a while, I'll reveal some useful info.
This quest is divided into a series of worlds. In each world, there is a portal to the next one. To reach the portal, you need to find the boss key and break a seal using an item. An Old Man somewhere in the world gives a clue what the item for the seal is, and this item is also needed to get the map of that world. In addition to the item needed for the seal, the next world will need an additional item to fully explore it. For example, you need the sword for the seal in World 1, but you also need the Raft in World 2. Both of these items will appear somewhere in World 1. Every world has this mechanic: an item for the seal, an another for the next world, and both items will appear before the seal (in the case of arrow triggers, you will find the bow, arrow, and quiver).
Each world has 8 item locations outside. If you somehow find the way to not randomize items, all of these end up as heart pieces. Each world also has 6 items in caves. One of these items is gotten from defeating a boss monster, and starting in World 2 another is bought at a shop. World 1 also has the starting item, so there are 7 items in those caves.
Each world also has what I call a Side Area (basically a dungeon). Side Areas are a bit different with item progression. Each Area has an item you can reach with the items you already have when you find it, which I call an Early Item. An Early Item can be the key item you are looking for to advance to the next world. The rest of the Side Area requires items you might not have at that point. Generally, the items needed for a Side Area won't be needed for another 2 Worlds. The Side Area of World 1 needs an Item you need for the Seal in World 3 for example. However, key items for much later worlds can appear deeper in a Side Area, such as items for World 4's Seal and World 5 appearing in World 1's Side Area. Depending on item placement, you may need to backtrack to a Side Area later. On the other hand, Side Areas can be optional if no key items appear in them.
The end goal of the quest is simply to reach the Final Area and get the boss key in it to go to the final boss. Everything else up to that point is simply finding the items needed to advance (including the items needed to complete the final area).
Now for specific questions:
The Healie slimes that appear late in the quest and usually always respawn don't damage you, and cure jinxes. You can kill them and they have a good chance to drop hearts, but they will escape and leave a Metal King Slime in their place. There are Healie slimes one room left of the first room of Lavender Shrine.
Strange hints appear randomly in caves. Some hints have some words in ALL CAPS for some reason, while others tells you what the hints are for. These hints are random, so if you want to share with each other which ones you've found, go right ahead. But, it looks like one of the hints was written over by some Douche. Perhaps that hint can be found elsewhere?

Is there a bug that places the whistle in an unreachable place? I need that or the silver arrow to get anywhere, and I can't find anything after scouring the entire game world. Name and world are LEJES from TICONDERA.
