I am looking for someone who knows how to add scripts to quests. Please PM me if you are interested in helping me with scripting.

You know, I would if I could script my way out of a brown paper bag. But I can't.

You need to be very specific on what you expect someone to do in this position. If you just want them to make a few things that are in the database work in your quest, if you want them to make special engine components, or if you expect them to make enemies/bosses/whatnot for you.

What you have said so far seems to indicate that you only need someone to add a few already-existing scripts into your quest.

It's also very important to let us know if you will want us to work to any kind of deadline, because... Let's face it, we all have limited time, and most of us that make this shyte for people are pretty backed up with requests. :P

Like ZoriaRPG said, you're going to have to be specific and address what it is you need exactly. If you're wanting to add scripts from the database, there are usually mini-tutorials in the submissions on how to add them, and on the forums there are general tutorials on how to add and combine scripts. If you're looking for original scripts, request them on this forum but be sure to search through the database before requesting in case there is a script that already exists and in case you don't know: searching for script titles and tags usually bring up results faster. Best of luck either way!

You know, I would if I could script my way out of a brown paper bag. But I can't.

If you're not going to take up the request, why did you reply? :P

Can you post on how you're adding them with the compiler and the .z file? If you show us what's going on, we can help you on why they don't work. :)

When I added the scripts to the game I used compile and then import. After that I inserted the scripts into the slots. After that I added one of the scripts to a tile. I was planning on making ledges to where you can jump off of them. I also was planning on making things lift able.

Are you using Moosh's ledge jump script in the database? Because that one you edit certain combos (And put the FFC on the screen) to work. You then set up the constant in the script file for whatever combo flag you chose (Usually a script one). I've used this script a bunch of times before.

Can I see your constants in the file? :)

I hate to admit, I haven't been able to figure out how to do that. I know that the script's that I want to use are working scripts. I just haven't been able to figure out how to make them work in my game.

Did you fill out the constants in the .z/txt file?
