This is off to a promising start, but I worry it may suffer from the thing that turned me away from other fully custom sets: Ripped graphics will usually look like trash. Some people are fine with just using a tileset's defaults. These people usually make Zelda 1 style quests and stray away from more complex tilesets. The rest of us rely pretty heavily on adding new tiles to add features to the quest, and unfortunately we can't all be talented sprite artists. This means that tilesets like Pure, DoR, and EZGBZ that use styles from existing SNES and GBA era games tend to be more useful than tilesets that create their own, more modern styles. Sure there'll probably be sprites that'll rip in decently somewhere out there, but they probably won't be from the games most of us grew up with and are familiar with.
Maybe you'll do something fantastic and flexible and prove me wrong, though. Who knows, I've only seen one screen so far. ![]()

Hell yeah, thank you for your support.

At least stylistically, it will probably usually be close enough to Minish Cap that graphics from there could be incorporated.
I agree, that is a valid concern, and if the complexity scares most people off, that will be my cross to bear. But here is what I do know, is that regardless if whether these tiles are used, I'm still using them for a personal project, so the graphics will be made.
One thing I'm considering doing though, is setting this tileset up to be a 'living' tileset. That means if after 0.9 is released, and someone is using it, and they need some more tiles, provided those tiles aren't too 'exclusive' to their project, I will take their request and draw those tiles which will be applied to the next version of the overall tileset as well as released as its own rippable tile sheet.
I know at least until May, I should have regular opportunities to sprite because I ride a train to University, that's 1.5 hours a day I'm usually spriting for four days of the week.
Although, everything I say here should be taken with a grain of salt. I realize I have had a historical propensity to not follow through on a single damn thing I've ever worked on. That's why all tiles I draw will be released as their own small tile sheet, then at least I have something to show for what I have done here.
