Hey guys, I realised I haven't posted an update here in quite a while. I guess this is more of an update as to what's been done after activity has died down in my expo submission and what I'm planning to do next.
So, after quite a bit of criticism and watching NJF and Eppy play through the demo (thanks guys!), the following things have been done...
- Cutscenes use SFX now
- Fixed some bugs
- Fixed the bomb issue (that was a really big major one)
- Changed the Fairy's Woods hint because it was badly written
- Made the entrance to Level 2 and the Harp of Ages disappear during cutscenes so that you don't see them suddenly collapse out of nowhere after they're over.
- Fixed a backtracking issue in Level 1
- Made the mini boss of Level 1 less spammy.
- Some other smaller issues I noticed have been fixed up.
Other than those fixes, I think I'm gonna go ahead and continue onwards with the quest, seeing how I got all the criticism I need and that the expo is almost dead with activity. So... what's gonna happen next? Well, as of right now I'm creating Level 5, the Crown Dungeon, which is definitely gonna be quite the dungeon to make. The gimmick of the dungeon has been shown off in other places, but it'll be using the red/blue block system, only this time using a script so that transitioning between red and blue is a lot smoother. Other than that, I plan to get Level 5 done over the Christmas holiday and hopefully work my way towards Level 6, where I'm hoping things can get more interesting. I also have an alternative to the Noble Sword in mind, but I'm not spoiling anything and I guess you all have to wait to see for yourselves ![]()
