Here's what I need to finish before I release a demo:

-Weapons for the other party members
-Subscreen in general
-Level 1 boss
-Second half of level 1 (although I could just teleport you to the boss after the first halve. )
-Bug fixing the items
-Level 1 miniboss
-Party member special abilities
-Beta-testing in general

Would you guys be okay with me releasing a tech-demo for the expo? I'm not sure I can finish all this before the submission ends, and I want to enter this in.

A tech demo would be fine I think, although I'd still like an actual demo some time after the expo if you can't make it in time. The new screenshots are looking pretty cool. Seems you're getting better with the tileset.

 

But I gotta ask...What's the deal with the train you got going on behind the player? Will the party members following you also attack enemies or is this purely a visual effect that could potentially be turned off with a setting? It looks like it could get rather distracting in combat.

Huh, never thought about turning it off... I'll add an option for that, thanks!

(and yes, it is visual, but you can switch between party members, so kinda I guess)

Only the portal ring is from MC, the other is a colored dungeon tile. Damnit, I don't think I showed an indoor screen.
