I only have two things that I need done now.
One: Finish Ganon sprites.
Two: Make some of the text a bit better.

Off topic: Say I wanted to release this after I finish the slave world and update with the other two world in the future. Does anybody know if I can do this? Or should I wait intel I finish all three? The slave world would be done and I probably won't make any changes to it unless I find some bugs.

Alright, that's what I assumed. I just wanted to make sure. This quest is a little weird, Because you have a choice between three worlds and the way I'm going to do this is have three different files. There all the same except the enemies, story, and overworld. This world be completing one of the files.

How would you know every quest released to the database is a completed quest?

We obviously can't. Usually we play some of it and then leave the rest up to trust. If it's found to be incomplete later down the road and isn't Mario Quest, it's removed.

I released it as a demo instead of a quest if anyone is interested.

In this case, given that each 'world' is an isolated .qst file, I should think adding it to the main DB is correct.

 

He means that each 'world' is another game, entirely, and in fact, he could use the Quest number system to link them together, so that Part Ii loads immediately after Part I.

 

In other words, the other portions of the game, will be additional quest files, and each should be individually uploaded to the main quest DB. (If no updates are planned, it's no longer a qualifying demo quest.)

 

Requiring it to be uploaded into the demos database, would be like requiring Eiyuu to be in the demo database, because we know that LL is a planned sequel. I'd treat this, exactly like that: The other ;'worlds' are sequels, expansions to the first instalment, and may require completing the first game, before you can properly start the next. Serialised games don;t have their own category, but as only one other exists (excluding the five main quests), there's no real motivation to make a specialised category for them.

 

I'd suggest you pass this to LtM for a final verdict.

I talked with LtM and he says that it would be fine to release the slave world then update the other two worlds later.

I think it'd be better to complete all the worlds and then submit. The power of choice (which seems to be a big thing here, with choosing which world to play through) is going to be greatly diminished if we play the worlds in order. That, and what if the quest never sees actual "completion"? It could happen.

 

I would say a demo at the very least.

This is what I will do. Release it before the two week quest contest starts. I might have the bunny world done as well, I just don't know how much I'm going to be able to do in two weeks.
