Here are four base questions to get us started with and, to help Dwarlen and I sort the feedback, I'm going to number them for reference purposes. Anything else, of course, include it, too. Also, you don't have to come up with answers for all four questions, they're just a starting place. Looking forward to hearing from everyone.

#1-What did you like about 'The Greatest Rescue'?

#2-What did you not like about 'The Greatest Rescue'?

#3-What, when, and where are the bugs? (I don't like bugs... they don't belong in quests, so smash 'em :D)

#4-Any puzzles that stumped you or seemed overly confusing/easy?

Again, thanks to everyone who tries it out.

I haven't beaten it yet but I think I may have beaten the majority.

#1-What did you like about 'The Greatest Rescue'?

Puzzles and secrets

#2-What did you not like about 'The Greatest Rescue'?

Money fills up to fast

#3-What, when, and where are the bugs? (I don't like bugs... they don't belong in quests, so smash 'em :D)

  • Grabbing the red rupee in the troll cave basement can make fall indefinitely until the message box closes
  • Bosses seem to come back to life and drop the stolen item even if you already have it

#4-Any puzzles that stumped you or seemed overly confusing/easy?

I had to think a little bit but nothing too easy/difficult but fixing the big key seems confusing it says to go to the clouds but I already used those clues for the broken big key and there's a locked door I can't get based on the mountain top

@GhostKnight22

(#1) Glad you liked the puzzles and secrets, I was somewhat concerned that some of them might have been too hard, glad to hear that for the most part, that wasn't the case.

(#2) Hmm, I had some concerns about the amount of money myself, but Zahalfor didn't seem to think it was much of an issue. I'll add though, that if you are a heavy user of the bow (which wouldn't be illogical, sense it does double the amount of damage of your sword and some of the foes in the Basement in the Troll Cave have alot of health), then all the money rewards are nice.

(#3)

  • Grabbing the red rupee in the troll cave basement can make fall indefinitely until the message box closes

Hmm, I'll have to think about that one for a little bit. Would you mind elaborating on which red rupee it was? As there are actually two in the basement.

  • Bosses seem to come back to life and drop the stolen item even if you already have it

Oops, as I recall, they aren't supposed to come back to life or drop the stolen item twice...though I may have forgotten to implement that. Thanks for pointing that out!

(#4) I posted a reply to your comment on this matter, hope it helps!

Thanks for your time and hope you enjoy(ed) The Greatest Rescue!

What did you like about 'The Greatest Rescue'?
Pretty much everything. I especially loved the Cave of the Twin Wizrobes.

What did you not like about 'The Greatest Rescue'?
I found the last boss a little disappointing, I think possibly because I'm not a big fan of the rock enemy type. I also found it weird that he doesn't flash like the other enemies in the quest.

What, when, and where are the bugs? (I don't like bugs... they don't belong in quests, so smash 'em :D)
I didn't catch any aside from the bosses respawning when I re-enter the room and dropping their items again.

Any puzzles that stumped you or seemed overly confusing/easy?

The maze path in the Twin Wizrobes' Cave stumped me for a bit. In particular, the hint about the third step being conveyed by red magic. I figured it had to do with the conveyors, but the red magic makes them point west, leading out of the maze path room. In the end I guessed that part.

I really enjoyed this quest and I'm looking forward to any future quests by you guys. :D

@Moosh.

Glad you enjoyed it! As for the last boss, I'll admit, I wouldn't mind doing something better with him, but the only cool things I could ever really think to do with him would require more sprites from Zahalfor.... And shes already had enough fun drawing that troll. As for the flashing thing, that's because he is actually drawn in 8-bit. I tried to make him flicker instead but that didn't work. Reminds me of the other solution I had thought of though, edit the palette for that one room to include a cset that has all the colors used in the troll. I'll see about getting on that before to much longer.

As for the maze path in the Twin Wizrobes' Cave, you were on the right track, but you missed something. In the screen for the conveyors, there are extra conveyor belts above and below the main one. The extra ones point down/up while the main one points left/right. The idea was, that since you couldn't follow the main one in the maze path, that you would look at the extra belts and follow them.

Thanks a bunch for your feedback, it's been quite helpful! :D

Thanks for the feedback, guys! And thanks to Dwarlen for keeping an eye on this while I was away for a little bit. Looks like you've handled everyone's questions well, Dwarlen.

@GhostKnight22

#1-I can't take much credit for the puzzles and secrets, aside from the hidden ones on the overworld, Dwarlen beats me at coming up with them! ;) glad you enjoyed them

#2-you think there's just not enough to spend the money on or your wallet's not big enough or just a surplus of money period?

@Moosh

Glad you enjoyed it, and I agree that Dwarlen did a fantastic job on the Twin Wizrobe's cave, my only contribution were those robes that drop down for collection, oh and curtailing that overload of arrows Dwarlen had in there to start with... :D

The last boss... he did turn out to be much harder to draw than I anticipated and it took me several attempts to get him right. It may not be that hard to get Dwarlen the extra sprites he wants now that I've got the basics of him in place. I will have to consider that. For me, though, drawing him was one of the hardest parts of the whole quest venture!

I too had a little trouble with that maze in the Twin Wizrobe's Cave! But that was mostly because I got 'stuck in the box' as Dwarlen says haha.

I'm very thankful for y'all playing the quest and taking the time to give us feedback, I'm relieved and pleased that there doesn't seem to be any major bugs and look forward to touching it up and being able to officially release it as completed in the very near future. We have already started another quest which will be much longer than this one, but more on that after the official release of The Greatest Rescue. In the meanwhile, thanks again and have fun! :)
