Well fellas, progress is being made as we speak in Hylian Legacy. So, how much has been done since last update?

- Prologue is finished and intro scenes are almost finished!
- Decora Village is finished
- Northern Sacred Woods is almost done! (One screen left :P )
- More to come!

Looking at time, I think it's fine to say that I'll present my quest and a short demo (depending on how much progress I make by then) for the Fall Expo this year! :D The demo of course will probably be as long as that one of the Winter Expo, but it will be much, much better! In case I put myself to an overload state, I hope I can squeeze Level 1 in this demo to come as well!

But one thing I would like to mention as of now, and that is Cutscenes. I received a few critics about them, explaining that they were unnecessary or just too plain long. I tried my best to make them a bit shorter than last time, but I find them very necessary to explain some elements of the intro, so please, try to not be bothered by them, (alas, have patience! :D )

So, I'll keep my progress and shots to myself as top secret until the time for the Expo comes, hopefully you'll enjoy them as much as I will when time comes ;)
Till then!

Thanks for the progress report! Looks like you've been making really good progress. :)

Your expo will be amazing, that I know. :D

Also, about the cutscenes, I'm honestly completely fine with them, but I guess if the majority of people want to make it shorter, then I think you should try at least a little. ;)

Thanks man! I hope it will be truly amazing! :D

Well, let me put it this way. Remember the cutscene where the ghost tells you "it's coming back"? Instead of that, I put a 3x3 small area to serve as "Link's Nightmare", and with the rest of the cutscenes, let's say I made about 20 scenes last time (example), this time, there will be about 18 or 17, which is all I can make short of since I need them to explain some elements! :D

Ah okay, that's fine with me. :)

Sounds good! Also, the more cutscenes, the better ;D (ok not really, but I am not bothered by cutscenes either, if they are needed to tell the story).

Cutscenes are good, especially if done well with 2.50 features. A lot of people hate walls of text, so be cautious. A rule here is to show more, and tell less. Some minor details are best left unexplained. After all, we never got a history lesson about Ikana Valley from Majora's Mask, other than what we just know what happened to it: it got destroyed. Edit: that there brings us to the visual and musical cues. They both can tell a story in their own regard. If a town is destroyed, broken, burning houses and sad music can easily explain the fact that this town has been ruined. It's pretty easy to tell a story through those two forms of storytelling, so abuse the hell of it.

Though, there are different types of audiences in the ZC community, some don't like stories in general, some do (like myself). I say pick either stance and attract them to the best of your ability. :)

Really nice progress you're making there! As for cutscenes, I don't mind them as long as they don't drag on forever and have loads of unnecessary information (I learnt this through the Amy Rose series >_>)

Anyways, really nice stuff! Can't wait for further updates :D

Dat trolling, but yes, I find them necessary to tell the story, either way, I'll probably send a preview to you guys (contributors and advisors) to tell me what you think ;)

You know, I plan to do this a few times around with what you mean by MM, for example, I plan to make a Dungeon that served as a prison long ago, hopefully I can get inspired by OoT's Shadow Temple :D

Well, if you press B to skip all of them, it shouldn't take more than 2 minutes top, but again, this is all the way from the Prologue to the actual game itself :) (Amy Rose? Wasn't she with Sonic? XD )

It still seems like a long time, even skipping through the text XD
