I just released a new demo that corresponds to a combination of testing, feedback, and watching people play. The demo ends at the exact same point as the previous one. However this one will provide a much better playing experience then the last. 1.J (J for Jump) deletes many gameplay problems regarding platforming in the quest. The inclusions of a Jump button script that is Hi-Jump compatible (praise the almighty Moosh), the lowering of hazard damage, and the deduction of hazards in Brinstar and some extra platforms in Norfair make the game less frustrating when it comes to platforming. This demo lowers difficulty of course early on, but also allows for better combat because you can now jump, shoot, and do something else like firing missles or stunning enemies all with the same weapon selected. The demo journeys outside of just platforming too. New sound effects have been added, including different enemy hit sounds. Some of those half green half yellow doors have been removed, they were there because the rooms they lead to had nothing in them... now they do! If you enjoyed the previous demo you may have a blast with this one! If you struggled with the last one because roc's feather too strong, you may have a better time playing 1.J!
