Time to start a casual LP of both versions of Zelda Randomizer.  We will start with the simpler Classic version.

 

Part 1 - Not the best item to start with, so a bit of a rocky start, but able to catch up later on.

Well, I had these videos done quite a while ago, probably a few months prior to doing the race, so I guessed it was time to get this LP up at some point.

Part 2 - Some of the early levels can be tricky given the lack of enemy choices.

Doesn't help the game is giving you the middle finger with the lack of meaningful items. About all you really have at this point is a lot of health and decent defense.

 

Also, for being "Classic", you would think the author would have made movement Z1 style and not give you the ability to slash your sword. But then again, that would also mean the standard 8-item inventory and there is no way it would work with all the dungeons. By the way, those rooms like in 3-1 don't exist in Randomizer Classic?

I don't think so, as expansions are meshed in with the other items instead of being in their own areas.

 

Not much so far, but luckily, not too much needed to make some progress

Part 3 - Clearing a few more levels.  At least I have tanking power at this time.

Part 4 - We pick up enough upgrades to basically wrap up this quest.  Pretty much can do whatever I want in later parts

Game over. From Stone Wall weaker than a 4 year old to a Juggernaut in one part. If only you were that well equipped around this point in the game playing Hyrule's Resurrection...

Yeah, didn't exactly expect all my swords and even gold ring clumped in early spots.  2-3 was good yield, a short level with 2 items = 2 swords

Part 5 - Now that we're pretty much maxed out on equipment, we can take whatever level we want.  Starting out with already easy levels that are now total jokes.

Part 6 - More easy levels to go through.  Surprising still getting many of the good items out there.  Gonna have mostly garbage stuff at the end.
