I made Lost Identity from the beginning of June to the end of August (roughly 3 months). When I had made it, I had set it up to have a sequel. However, I began thinking to myself, "If I want to make a sequel to this, I would want a story that actually would make sense to the general public." And so, Lost Identity DX was born. While I was remaking this game to revamp the story, I didn't want it to be an exact remake. I wanted something unique and original. So I added new gameplay elements and began writing down ideas for twice as much content. I made Lost Identity to get used to the more advanced mechanics of Zquest, now I plan to take the skills I have learned and hopefully make a better quest out of this one.

This game has actually been in development since November, but I've had several breaks since then. I originally wasn't going to release the original Lost Identity, but when the DX version was beginning to become completely different, I decided to release it anyway.

So far I have the first two levels done (There's going to be seven main levels), three mini dungeons done (I still don't know how many of those I'll have yet.), and one overworld area completely done (the rest are either halfway done, or haven't been started on yet.). I will reveal what the story is about in the next update. I hope you stay tuned for more updates! Take care.

I haven't played the original, I should play that as this remake develops. Good luck!

I played the first dungeon of the original so far, and I really liked your creative ideas, so I'm sure that with even more knowledge you'll be able to create amazing things. :D
