It's been over six months since I've posted an update, so I wouldn't be surprised if people thought this quest died off. Not a lot has changed since the last update, and virtually no work in ZC has been done. I don't want to get too doom and gloom here, so just hear me out. I've been in the grip of a depression for a while now, and it's starting to get better, but a lot of it stems from some health related issues that have come up in the last few years (don't worry, it's not anything terribly life threatening, just annoying). I haven't been part of this community very much lately either, but to anyone who does remember this project, I am still drawing maps, and plans, and conceptualizing. I really want to complete a ZC quest. It's just something I need to do, you know?

As it stands now, this quest will follow a formula not unlike Link to the Past/ Between Worlds in the sense that there will be two overworlds that are connected to each other. One big change in the designs is, instead of having free-forming interlocking areas, the quest will use two square-esque worlds. That's not to say there won't be any other areas, but I want to keep this simple for the sake of finishing it. I won't be doing the rental shop system, but I'm still working on ways to make the dungeons relatively non-linear in terms of which order you can do them in. This quest probably won't be as huge as you'd expect, but I have a goal of 12 small to mid sized dungeons, and two overworlds that might not take up a full map, but be more or less 12x8 instead of 16x8.

So with that, stay tuned (or check back in in 6 months, whichever comes first :P).

Also, sorry for not posting any screens in forever, the reason is, there just hasn't been much progress in that direction, so there's not a lot of new stuff to show.

I'm glad to hear you've been gradually feeling better, Anthus. Speaking first-hand, I know depression's energy- and motivation-sapping abilities and I wouldn't wish them upon anybody. I'm also glad to know that this quest is still in the works. Don't feel guilty about taking time to work on more pressing matters first. This project and your fans will always be here for you to revisit. :)

Thanks, that's very helpful to hear. :)

Though ironically, I actually resumed a very old project, and haven't touched this since I made this update >.> Either way, this will be done at some point in time eventually :P
