Since the Winter Expo began, I have not begun work on any more dungeons. I have instead focused on the overworld, whose small size I am realizing is starting to show its weaknesses. Indeed, there isn't much room for Heart Pieces and other secrets. This means each area is going to have at least 2-3 heart pieces in addition to other secret areas. I've already began working on some mini-dungeons, including:
- Small Wind Waker-like mini-dungeons
- An Ice Cavern
- An underground area under the graveyard, with horrifying traps
In regards to the overworld, here's what I've laid out in entirety:
- Kakariko Village & the Graveyard
- Lake Hylia
- Frozen Valley
Hyrule Field, Death Mountain, and Gerudo Desert are still incomplete, and I haven't begun working on the Lost Woods. That leaves one area of the map left, and I haven't figured out what to use it for. I'm thinking either an extension of Hyrule Field, or a more swampy or wooded area.
So that's what I've been working on these past couple weeks. Hopefully I can continue working on this project at a steady pace.
