This is an interesting LoZ-inspired Pokemon challenge I found a while ago. I felt that the original rules were too lenient and a bit strange, so I've tweaked them a bit. The rules are somewhat simple:
-At the beginning of the game, you choose one race, and you can only use the types assigned to it. The races are:
Hylian- Normal, Fire, Water, Grass
Kokiri- Grass, Ground, Psychic, Bug (Psychic is changed to Fairy if you're playing Gen 6)
Goron- Fire, Ground, Rock, Steel
Zora- Water, Electric, Steel, Ice
Gerudo- Ground, Ghost, Fire, Fighting
Sheikah- Dark, Ghost, Poison, Psychic
Deku- Grass, Bug, Poison, Flying
Korok- Grass, Rock, Ground, Flying
Rito- Flying, Ground, Dragon, Fire
Twili- Dark, Fire, Psychic, Steel
Oocca- Flying, Grass, Dragon, Psychic
Subrosian- Fire, Ghost, Rock, Dark
-You may use dual-types as long as at least one type fits.
-If a Pokemon evolves and its type no longer fits, you can still use it, but the type must fit when you catch/hatch it.
-If you catch/hatch a shiny Pokemon, (with the exception of story-triggered ones like the red Gyarados in Gen 2) you've found the triforce and you can now use its type(s).
Those are the rules of the challenge. I'd like to hear your experiences with it as well as suggestions for races.

OMG It's GrantGreif!
I don't know who you are.
I don't know what your name even means.
But it has Grant in it... I love it!
The staff is going to raise my warning points for this. ![]()

I might try Goron, just because I've never used much of the Rock or Ground Type Pokemon in the Games.

Gerudos are part-Ghost? Say whaaaaa?
And Zora being part-Electric? Say whaaaaaaaaaaa?
Nonetheless, this sounds like a really interesting idea. I'll probably give this a try sometime in the future.

The explanation for Gerudos being part ghost is that Nabooru is the sage of Spirit, and I believe somebody in Ocarina of Time says 'house of the dead' when referring to the spirit temple. The reason Zoras can use electric is because of how technologically advanced they seem, mostly because of Great Bay Temple in Majora's Mask. Also, I recommend from experience that if you enjoy being able to fly, Zora should not be used with Gold. (Only game in Gen 2 without Skarmory or Delibird) Additionally, I have noticed that I have the same first name as NewjourneysFire, and the 'Greif' on the end is German for 'Gryphon'.

When Sheik said "House of the Dead" Sheik meant the Shadow Temple. Sheik described it as "The Goddess of Sand". Plus, the Spirit Temple was meant to reflect your spirit as a human; not necessarily meaning death or supernatural stuff. But to each their own, I suppose.

I must have thought Sheik was referring to the Spirit Temple since it was written in orange font, but I guess it wouldn't be the only time in that game that the font color didn't match the words. Despite that though, the Gerudo are only really seen in two games, (the Four Swords games shouldn't even be in the timeline in my opinion) with one taking place right after another, and when you consider that Termina is theorized to be purgatory, I'd say they qualify for 'Ghost' status.
