Okay, so I'm toying with the idea of doing a Nuzlocke challenge. This will likely mean doing a big stream (like 4+ hours) on either Wednesday or Thursday during which I'll play. I'm thinking of doing Soul Silver, but I'm willing to listen to suggestions and also would like to know if people would be interested in this? It'd probably be like 6:30p-whenever (between 10:30p and 12:30a) EST on the chosen day.

 

Note: Here are the Nuzlocke rules I'm going to be using:

 

1. Randomly selected starter

2. Pokemon faints = dead (must be released)

3. All Pokemon must have nicknames

4. Only catch first Pokemon seen in an area (unless already owned), if it faints or runs, you get no Pokemon there (this rule isn't in effect if you haven't gotten Poke Balls yet)

5. Being given a Pokemon counts as your caught Pokemon for an area

6. No legendaries

7. Blacking/whiting out = game over, even if there are more Pokemon in PC

8. Battle using "set" instead of "switch"

 

Everything else is fair game. Any suggestions / would anyone actually be interested? I plan on uploading this in episodes to YouTube as well.

9. Every 9th time you press start, you must reset the game regardless of if you remembered to save. You may not save on your 9th start. Also if you're in the ice path on your 9th start, you must delete your save file because Eppy.

If you plan on doing Pokemon Emerald, don't let your father kill your Pokemon.

Also, instead of releasing a Pokemon, I would reccomend that you put them in a Dead Box, so you can keep track of all the Pokemon that died.

There will be more Nuzlocke tonight at 6:30pm EST! The plan is to hopefully get past Morty and get to Goldenrod, and maybe even take on Whitney if things go particularly well! There will be grinding, as fair warning, since I would ideally like to get at least a few members of my team closer to level 20 tonight as well, just increase my chances of surviving against Scyther and Miltank.
