I am curious is there such thing as combaining tilesets?

I want a very good and unique tileset.

I have been using a few tilesets, to see if i like

the tileset.

I have made 5 quests and have not worked on them. I have been testing tilesets.

I do not know which tileset i really want to use.

Lost Isle Graphics
Pure Tileset Update Extreme

Pure Tileset Basic v2.5

Dance of Remembrance Tileset

Revenge 2 Tileset

Pure Tileset Update V2.2

Orion's LTTP Tileset V2.4.1

Descendant Tiles

Adventure Tileset

But would it be okay to combain any of them?

Would it be alright?

It's possible, but I don't see a reason to combine them. It just makes everything tedious and unorganized. In other words, you should either stick to one tileset, or make your own tileset from scratch to prevent style clashing.

That said, if you plan on using The Revenge 2, you should probably use the updated version that me and FireSeraphim made: http://www.purezc.ne...=tilesets&id=85

Oh, sure, it's possible. It's possible just like it's possible to combine houses, or combine businesses or anything else. It's not EASY, but it's possible.

Everything is its own individualized element dependent on something else. That's what makes it tricky.

If you want to combine features of the Pure tileset and the DoR tileset you'll have to find out which .qst file you want the tiles to be in (because one might be more accommodating than the other.) and you'll probably have to recolor everything that you're importing so it doesn't look horrific.

Generally, things tend to end up being finalized in terms of the pallete. If you don't have a palette that has the right number of colors for the things you're importing, you're gonna have a bad time. (/SouthPark)

Then there's all the making of the individual combos. It can take a while, but the good side is that it makes the combo page yours. By that, I mean you become far, far more familiar with where and what everything is that's on your combo page, and questbuilding becomes slightly faster because of it.

I asked if combaining tilesets was possible because of this.

This was in the credits of the quest.

I'm guessing Shoelace borrowed individual tiles from all of those tilesets, except for crediting both Wild Bill and Mr Z for their contributions to the Pure Tileset.

I'd recommend choosing a tileset that seems closest to the overall look you're going for, and using that for a base. You can very broadly decide whether you want the GB look, the Pure look, or the DoR look, etc, and then add loose tiles as you like. You can rip additional tiles from the zelda games, or borrow pieces from other tilesets as you need them. In either case, you'll probably need to recolor them. It's also important to keep track of where these resources are coming from so you can give credit in the end. This is the approach I went with, using PTUX as a base and adding tiles as needed, and it worked well for me.

I usually just rip some tiles from other tilesets that look good in the tileset I'm already using. It's quite easy. Just download both files, open the one you like best as a base and then go to the tile page (where you create/edit tiles), press import and select the other tileset. Then you can "grab" any tile you want, but you probably need to recolor them.
