I just started recording a Let's Play of this a few days ago and now I'm stuck on level 2: M'kavlar Fort. I got two keys, map and compass and acquired the Blue Lantern. With said lantern I lit a torch on the upper right of the second floor and got another key beyond a painfully obvious bombable wall. Now on the upper left of the second floor are two locked doors, I unlocked one but am missing a second key. All crystal switches I find require the magic boomerang to activate. So I have no idea what I'm missing, I'm going in circles trying to find this key.

Did you check Darkflamewolf's wakthrough on Youtube?

It's been ages since I played it, so I don't really remember it too well unfortunately.

Well that's evil. How was I supposed to guess I needed to walk behind the torch in the second room in? There is no clue that you need to do that.

That won't be the only time you have to do so in this quest.  Also used in Isle of the Winds, if you end up playing that too.

Good gosh, I just entered level 3. Was NOT expecting Wizzrobes this early. I am coming across a lot of dead ends but haven't found a single key yet. So not sure where to go from here...Already got my first death but I'm quickly learning how useful arrows can be in clearing out rooms so I can focus on those blasted Wizzrobes!

Okay, after fumbling my way through level 4 which was a complete surprise to me how THAT played out, I am at a loss for where the fourth Triforce piece is. It obviously isn't in level 4 proper. And I've already found the level 5 entrance. Any pointers?

Use the book on the western side of the desert.

Okay, I'm still doing this 3 heart, no potion run. I'm on level 7 now. I found the map, compass and 1 single key after slogging my way through two digdoggers and a room full of wizzrobes, batrobes and like likes. Now I found two locked doors, but only a key to one. I've explored all avenues of travel in level 7, but I have no idea where to go next for a second key, help?

Need to use a second entrance outside to find the other key.  Sort of hidden entrance that you bomb to open.

Just curious, how many deaths do you have so far?  Not the easiest quest to do 3 hearts on

I'm around 56 deaths at level 7 right now. I'm still on a wooden sword, but I do have a blue tunic. No potions, as per my rules, but tunic upgrades are cool as are sword upgrades as long as they aren't tied to my heart count. I've been utilizing the wand as the white sword a few times and even discovered the infinite awesome use of a Super Bomb against Digdogger child swarms. Who knew Digdoggers + shooting statues would be the bane of my existence during this run?

Anyway, as for the second entrance....can you be more specific?

Yeah, gonna be stuck with a wooden sword for the whole quest.  L2 and L3 swords run off hearts.  L4 sword you're not getting unless you get some massive luck and skill working your way.

If you haven't noticed yet, level 7 has multiple entrances.  One is the obvious entrance, one is a bit northeast that needs a bomb to open.  The other two entrances require the dungeon items to get to.

Whenever you get to the end, you better make a save just before starting the final boss battles due to a glitch in the rooms.

Holy crap level 7 is kicking my ass. LOL I've got the level 2 bracelet and 2 more keys and I 'think' I'm closing in on the Hammer which would alleviate my troubles....CONSIDERABLY. Unfortunately, I can't seem to survive that long to get to where the two locked doors are where I think the Hammer is behind! So many damn red wizzrobes, bat wizzrobes and wallmaster rooms! Those truly are the worst! Does it get better after this? (considering you have the Hammer as Magic Sword replacement from level 7 onward)

Doesn't get too much better.  Level 7 boss is going to give you some trouble unless you get lucky.  May want to go get red mail after getting the hammer

Level 8 isn't too bad.

Should be able to get fire boomerang and red mail later on that will help.

No way to get the master sword in your current state

And my play series has come to an end. Upon loading up my save file, I've found that all my saves were erased! I was so close to getting the hammer in level 7, but alas, I am NOT going to punish myself again trying to get to this point under my challenge conditions. So I'm going to be uploading the 18 parts I have now and just leave the play series incomplete. Maybe someone else will pick up where i left off, but I must drop the quest since I am not restarting a 3 heart, no potion run of Hidden Duality again. If I was a bit closer to the beginning and this happened, I'd consider it, but I'm so far in...I've lost all heart to retry it. So, hope people are still interesting to see how I did up to that point in level 7 however! I'll probably come back and eventually complete the quest properly without the challenge. *sigh*

okay, I'm reviving the play series and will be posting the first video come Monday. It will be 3 hearts, no potion run up until my last save file ended, just before the Hammer of level 7. From there, I pick it right up with a no potion run instead. So I can have as many hearts as I can find, but no potions still. That is only because I really didn't feel like going through 7 dungeons all over again on 3 hearts. Besides, I am pretty sure now that the boss of level 7 would have stopped me stone cold on my three heart run anyway! A big circle patra with wooden sword, 3 hearts, blue ring, with shooting statues and 6 traps? Ugh...So I wasn't too far off from my brick wall anyway. I'm still recording as I'll be posting the videos up and finish the quest with just no potion usage instead. This time, I'll be giving the game two different challenge scores, one for the 3 heart/no potion run and one with just no potions. Just to take into account both challenges. Be prepared everyone!
