Hello! I've finally released my largest quest yet, and so with that I thought it best to make an accompanying thread for you all to discuss it. Here you can post any queries you have for the quest, as well as to report any bugs and glitches you may have found.

Found a bug. The Desert music doesn't play. Mt Zarsian music also doesn't play. Not sure how this happened where the music files are right there.

The music in the Desert isn't meant to play in the two screens you can access it at the start of the game, but the music in Mt Zarsian should be playing fine (it seems to work for me); and for reference, if a cutscene plays there is no music.

This is a good quest imo. I'm only on the seventh dungeon but yeah play it NOW!

 

It's hard to get into it without spoilers, but this is a truly quality experience.

So we need to talk about music crimes. The music in the starting area is way too good to be limited to such a small overworld. It's actually beautiful.

I did answer this on Discord, but I'll say it here as well just in case others find themselves stuck in the same place:

In regards to that tree, you'll need to bomb a cracked rock somewhere around the Heath, to which you should be able to find something that'll allow you to enter the tree later on. More specifically, the cracked rock you'd need to find is on the screen to the right of the shop screen. This should lead you into the Capsaari Mines, which'll have the key you're looking for.

Ah yeah that's a known exploit, it doesn't break much since you should be able to get the Boss Key at the very start without using the exploit anyway, so there's no major sequence breaking involved in this (I'm probably not going to fix this given it's such a minor sequence break (as in, the dungeon flow doesn't get broken at all), and also the fact that it leaves the player with a sense of satisfaction knowing they did something they weren't meant to lmao).

I'll put the solution below just in case people don't want to spoil themselves:

If you talk to the child in the pool (located near Mt Zarsian), you should be then able to find your way to a dungeon a few screens south of the first Save Point (it's also a few screens East of the Heath); if you play through that dungeon and beat it, you can talk to the child again and they'll give you the Sword.

Glad you're enjoying the quest! And... yes! Slash is in the game, you simply get it around half-way through the game once you finally get a Sword upgrade.
