For the magic sword, you need the whistle.  Go to the "northern overworld" (this where a totally new overworld map appears if you press the spacebar).   Explore screens not too far from the entrance of this northern overworld, and you should find a screen with 3 green trees missing at the bottom (southern) edge.  Use the whistle there and follow the path back to the southern overworld.

Perfect and thank you .

First left in the northern overworld, kill monsters, blow whistle. Follow path down and left, down stairs and right then bomb.

 

Not long after, I went back up the stairs, blew whistle again and the bushes went away.

I went left and up and found a room with three rows of bushes, the middle row double bushes. Blow whistle again and Level 6!

Languishing in Level 6 !

 

In the upper left area is a maze-like thing.

Would someone please share the pattern?

There is also a room on the right side of Level 6 with nothing but 4 moveable blocks.

I have made all kinds of patterns but nothing has happened.

A hint please…

Fireyf, I'm having lots of fun with this very creative game, and I was able to beat your evil level 8, but now can't find level 9.

There's a dock on the eastern side of the second overworld.  It will take you to an island with bushes arranged like a skull.  If you didn't get the clue from the old man across from level 7, "Argentum between the eyes of the skull reveals the entrance."

Thanks - I thought that clue might've applied to the area around level 7 since the map looks a bit like a skull around there and with the river going between the eyes.

Can't seem to find my way to Level 8. Managed to get to the other side of the overworld, but I can't see anything else I can go to.

 

Edit: Nevermind, found my way in the end with some incredibly obscure secrets.

A little help, please. I am stuck in level 7. What is the object of this room and the block arrangement?:

Looks like you got the key that popped up in the box of blocks.  I just made it so you had to keep finding  blocks to move to clear the wall of blocks out of your way and leave the room.  You move one block to get the key which spawns a wall of blocks in front of the door.  Push another block to clear that wall and another wall pops up.  Push the right block and that wall clears and you're left with what's in the screen shot.  If you got the key and can get out of the room you're good to go.

Thanks. Then I guess I'm stuck. I cannot go any further than the five rooms at the entrance and the four rooms in the upper left. What am I missing?

Use the wand on a block in the room where you got the compass.  (bottom right in the northern four rooms)
