The Story, Dungeons, and Other Stuff

Well, I think it's time I revise the story a bit. It was a little bland, and uninformative.


The Story


On one day of no particular interest, Link was summoned by Zelda, who currently remains in Hylia's Domain. She informs Link that a land in a far away continent, called Ehlruy, has suddenly become oppressed by evil forces. She has a feeling Ganon has given up on Hyrule and gone to an easier country to dominate, but she isn't sure yet. She gives Link a shield and protective tunic, and then sends him off to Ehlruy. Link wakes up in a cave (of course it's a cave, this is Zelda Classic :P) and wanders around. He finds a group of enemies and defeats them. After defeating them, a fairy appears from behind a rock. She says her name is Roran and she is thankful to Link for killing those enemies. She says she was wandering out in Ehlruy, like other Fairies do, but suddenly monsters swarmed her. She wanted to run back to the Fairy Kingdom, but it was too far. She decided to hide in a cave instead. She asks to join Link and asks him to escort him home. Link agrees, and Roran joins your party. Link explores the cave a bit more and comes across an old man who has placed his residence in the cave. He recognizes Link and proclaims Zelda told him Link would arrive, and he should explain to Link what has been happening. He tells Link that monsters have been appearing all over Ehlruy, and there seems to be no source of where they seem to be coming from. He assumes they are coming from the Tower of Gaston, a tower that looms over Ehlruy. He a dark, ominous cloud appeared around the tower the same time the monsters appeared. He believes the perpetrator is a wizard who lives in the tower, who goes by the name of Henswick. He tells Link to go enter the Tower and stop Henswick, but the entrance to the tower has a magic seal around it to assure no normal man would enter. It would only allow one who obtains all of the seven Magical Amulets of Ehlriy: The Amulet of Sapphire, The Amulet of Steel, The Amulet of Diamond, The Amulet of Emerald, The Amulet of Ruby, The Amulet of Amethyst, and the Amulet of Gold. The location of these was kept a secret from men, and no one knows there location. The old man then gives Link a sword and some bombs to help along his adventure. Roran then proceeds to say that she now doesn't want to go back to the Fairy Kingdom, but instead wants to help Link save Ehlruy. The old man shows Link out of the cave, and Link then embarks on his journey.



I didn't want to make the game story based, but I still wanted some story in it. I hope this is enough! :)


The Dungeons


There are a total of seven dungeons in my quest, each in a unique overworld. As you may now, there are nine in my quest, so two overworlds will not have a dungeon. For convenience, here is how I label the overworlds:

I will number the dungeons in their corresponding Overworld:

1. West Castle - Items: Red Candle, Boomerang. Theme: Ice Info: A giant, frozen castle on a mountainside. A lot of it is frozen, and some of the castle extends inside the mountain due to decay.

3. Dwarven Mine - Items: Slave's Hammer(Hammer), Dwarven Glove(Bracelet) Theme: Rock/Mountain/Cave Info: An old, abandoned mine shift once used by the ancient but advance dwarves. Some of the minecarts they used can still be power up today.

4. Temple of Shira - Items: Hookshot, Leva's Wings(Rocs Feather) Theme: Water Info: A Shirne dedicated to the god of water, Shira, located under Ehlruy Lake. Most of it is flooded, but some parts can still be accessed.

5. Moblin Fort - Items: Bow and Arrow Theme; Forest Info: The Moblins have set up camp in the middle of the forest to be the center of their evil deeds. Rumors say that the bow resides here, but the arrow is in another Moblin Camp.

6. Vulcuun - Items: Metal Bridge(Ladder), Magical Boat(Raft) Theme: Lava Info: Link enters a giant volcano, and finds out the stone is at the bottom of the center shaft, under floors of lava! Link needs to find a way to get to it without getting burned!

7. Ancient Grounds - Items: Gembone's Wand(Wand), Ancients Book(Magic Book) Theme: Jungle Info: Remains of a civilization more ancient then the dwraves. Link fins the written of an ancient archaeologist named Gembone who gives Link hints about the dungeon. Link also finds portals to send him back in time to the prime of the civilization.

9. Tombs of Alcuur - Items: Whistle of Alcuur(Whistle) Shovel Theme:Desert Info: A giant pyramid dedicated to the burial of an the ancient king, Alcuur. Hieroglyphics on the wall say that the only way to open the center tomb is to have sunlight shine on the Sun Painting at the bottom of the dungeon. Link has to find a way to get sunlight to shine on this painting and enter the center tomb.



So these are the main dungeons of the game. There are more min-dungeons in the game, but I will release those more. I also may put more in-depth information on these dungeons in the future, but this is still early in development.
