I know why it doesn't, but that still doesn't change the fact it comes out 10GB + for a relatively small amount of time. As well, the bigger it is, the more time you can expect to import it in to most editors, then edit and compress that down.

I don't know about you guys, but 10GB+ files don't really seem pleasant, I'd rather deal with something that's the same quality, and a fraction the size. As well just cause HDD's are cheap and abundent, you can't just assume the person your helping has all the money in the world, and a 1.5TB drive is still over a $100 (going down below now). I don't get much money on a monthly basis, just enough to live and save, and even though my 2TB (Total not 1 Drive) are almost literally full (at least enough to hold 70+ GB) and I still don't want to even bother creating a 10GB file. Hell, I create 35-40 min videos and come out 2-3GB for the camrec file (the file Camstudio reocrds in) then I render and compress that done.

I'm not trying to force anything on you. I simply like fraps because it breaks it up into smaller files while being completely lag free, which I can easily compress using good codecs, and then convert all at one and combine at the same time using good video editing software.

Ah sorry didn't mean to make you feel like that, that wasn't my point. Just saying why I don't like it is all.

Btw, Fraps videos take a second (or less) to import into Virtual Dub.

I'll stick to CC Flashback Express. All the extra features on the Pro versions I can do on Windows Live Movie Maker for Windows 7.

Can WL Movie Maker produce in HD now? I know in the older versions you had to do some work around's. Reason why I like Camtasia Studio 7 is cause it does everything I need of it in one Program, even the Screen Capture hardware that I am getting soon comes with Software not only to capture it, but edit it. I don't need an editing outside source, and CS7 lets me choose the codec to record in and compress / encode in. Yea I know other screen capture's let you choose which codec to use while recording, but every single one I've looked at besides CS7 did not have an internal editor.

Hm, awesome! Doesn't mean I'm gonna make a switch now, but still, nice to know it finally caught up... or is it me catching up to Microsoft's Movie Maker now? :O Anyways, if you have anymore questions you can PM if you like.
