Thanks for the help, think I found a bug:
You're right, there isn't.
I had a lot of multiple copies of that room which I edited numerous times,
I don't know how that snuck in but I will whip up a patch at once.

I was hoping that was fixed but apparently not.
At the moment, it isn't a high priority issue because I'm not entirely sure how it happened.
Just take it as a free win for now.

Thanks for letting me know.
Now, what does the first line of information about the quest say about playing in other versions?
I can neither diagnose nor correct these issues because I haven't seen them happen in earlier versions of ZC.
If they do, then I might be able to. Right now, I'm just getting started using 2.53
Also, what sort of crash? Does ZC freeze? Or something else?
Screenshots would also be appreciated.

Says 2.50.2 or newer!
ZC shuts down entirely, specifically when dealing with these enemies. When I'm in the rooms themselves, it's fine; it's only when an enemy is defeated.

Hmmm... that is a mystery.
I haven't had a crash like that since that one time I discovered a new ZC bug in this quest.
Since there should be no problems in a newer version of ZC, I can only assume that there is some change which causes this.
You're certain that it is only those Living Candles which are causing the crash?
And it only when they die? Or when any enemy in that room dies?

No, it's also when I kill the mummy enemies, doesn't matter what room it's in.
EDIT: No, it's actually when I kill any enemy in the dungeon.

Okay, I think that I might have a clue as to what is causing it.
I will check my theory in the latest 2.55 alpha and see if I can confirm this.
Edit: I confirmed what was causing the problem and was able to do an easy fix that stops the crash.
I will have to consult with the ZC Developers to see why this happened to begin with.

Overgrown Outpost - the screen a couple north of start, I've used the arrow to empty the water from the room. However, the room one north of THAT still stubbornly retains its water. Am I missing something?

For a minute you had me confused.
Then I realized that you'd incorrectly connected the water draining from one room to another.
Two screens north of that arrow target is a room with a bunch of vines and a pool of water in the middle.
If you burn both sets of vines, the water in that room and the one below drains.

Ah, ok. That is exactly what I was missing! Thanks.
