BBDX was made for 2.50.2, so you need to play with 2.50.2.

I have no clue, but feel free to rip that MIDI via the ZC player
(in the menu go to ZC > Quest MIDI info > select the correct MIDI (LightNecrolodgeVG) > click Save and be sure to add ".midi" to the end of the filename)

That's not the issue, it's that I want to hear the original song.

I don't need help with the game, per se, but morbid curiosity is strong, so I have to ask:

In the nightmare, specifically that killer tree....

...is it strangling Knil with its branch, or is it piercing him through the neck?  I don't know what the original idea for it was, and again, morbid curiosity...

 

Either way, it's definitely gonna kill him, but it's kind of hard to tell exactly with the sprites...

In the bad ending of Hyrule's Christmas DX, Knil hanged himself by missing Myra.

This may or may not be a bug but if it is then I am going to have to report it as one.

 

When fighting against the Swing Beast, the boss will lock itself into the stun state after bashing into the wall, forcing you to hit it. This eliminates all challenge with the boss and pretty much forces you to win and making it a straightforward boss fight with no challenge. I may be wrong here but I think the boss's stun state is supposed to be timed to where you have to hit him with the hammer within a few seconds before he starts attacking again.

The bosses in this quest are not scripted and not that advanced, so the stun lasting forever is not a bug

I've been thinking forever about going back to the BBDX quest file and scripting all the bosses, but other projects have more priority
