Actually the way I see it, this is really Stan 1.0. You see, the true end is Sasic beating Stan to the point that he needs to run away. Sasic spends the rest of his days searching for Stan. Well, we already know what happens. Stan ends up in Remdra in hiding after he got his beat down.

 

When Link fights ???? in "Isle of Rebirth", that is really Sasic testing Link to see if he is worthy of fighting Stan. Link completes what the Sasic can't and Stan stands no more.

 

That means Stan in "Isle of Rebirth" is the real Stan 2.0.

I'm stuck trying to get the hookshot.  Got to the puzzle but no combination works.  Is there a hint in the game for the puzzle???

Remember, you can push ice blocks off of buttons. Try and find a solution that gives you room to push the blocks away from the chest!

For the ice tablet, you need to help the frozen old man in the cave.

For the lightning one, it's a little more involved. You need to bring him 3 items as he travels throughout the world. Have you done any of these yet?

 

As for the gray tablet, don't worry about finding the ankh.

Honestly, the item drops system/weather is annoying and it doesn't add nothing really special to the quest... It feels like an afterthough.

After that, he's on the screen left of the Ruby Staff at the beginning of the lavaflow.

 

After that, he settles in the Eastern Valley town.

I think you have me and Yloh confused.

 

Otherwise, I've been playing some of this whenever I haven't been scripting or designing my own quests. So far, it's resting just at that comfortable level of difficulty between good and challenging. I just hope that I can continue to manage to scrape my way past the various bosses...
