I beat this quest earlier today.
The overworld is of basic Z1-nature (desert, shore, graveyard, woods, etc) and the underworld is also well-planned and fun to explore, especially in the later half, a questmaker doesn't need to use freeform dungeons to get my interest, its enough even with there rooms where many of them have more than 4 corners. Plenty of interior combos and stuff, me like.
Some of the newer items such as quivers, arrow ammo and bomb bags are placed in a good manner, I like the feature that different levels of the same item can be found at the same time, even with different prices, making it more "natural" if they can be bought in more than one shop. The boomerang was very hard to find though and it wasn't until level 9 that I got a clue to find it, and inmediately got it upgraded to a better one. The magic sword (got it after level 7) is quite weak, blue knights still takes the same amount of damage and its seems that the sword beam is the only positive difference. There's several info huts avaiable but I only paid for the info through the lost wood-maze, because the enemies always returned so there was not much room to do a "F1-race" towards its right solution.
I don't find much things that can be improved though, this is a very good classic quests for the "new episodes" of 2.5 gameplay. The block puzzle in level 9 was quite tedious to pass through several times, I don't know why the enemies re-appeared every time in there, they shouldn't thanks to those bubbles. Some of the bosses could be upgraded, maybe place some traps or spikes in a chamber together with that gohma or multi-headed dragon, or perhaps a couple of shooters, I haven't seen them in many quests, under-rated enemies.
Great job! To bad PureZC doesn't support the 2.5 versions.
