I've been trying recently to think of ideas for my quest that people would like, and realized that I'm not actually sure what people enjoy most in a quest. So, I figured that there's nobody who can answer that question better than the people who will be playing the quest. In case you haven't figured it out yet, I'm asking for input on what you would like to see in this quest. Pretty much any ideas will be considered, except for story ideas, since I already have the story planned out. Remember, this quest does NOT take place in Hyrule, so you don't need to worry about it fitting into the series.

If you'd like to know about the areas of the quest, check this thread: http://www.purezc.ne...showtopic=64422

I have an idea. How about you have a fairy that acts as a partner and, when you click on an enemy, it identifies it and tells you a little bit about it. Like, for example, "Red Octorok: Basic enemies that shoot rocks at you. Your shield can block them. These are the slow ones. They come in fast versions too." You can use the Fairy Partner script for this.

I have seen this script, but the game freezes every time you click, and I don't really want that.

When ever you use a script that requires clicking, it does not freeze the game. Have you played Engage to Zeldawock? That quest uses a similiar script.

The script in that quest is slightly different and prevents the game from freezing.  I assure you, I just checked the fairy script, and it does in fact freeze the game.  Also, it's pretty annoying to take your hand off of the keys to click on an enemy, and it makes you a sitting duck for a second or two.

This is just my opinion but I think using a mouse is only good for fps (first person shooters) or games like skyrim

Wouldnt know how to implement this but you could do something similar to z-targeting and press an ex button but i can't really suggest it since I don't have a clue how it can be done

Or have some type of bestiary system that lets you know how to kill enemies easily but only after the player figures out its weakness

*Edit: I actually have a better idea, how about having the helper (fairy) act like a boomerang or arrow and it shows a small description after hitting an enemy (but doesnt cause damage), still wouldn't know how to do it but it shouldn't freeze anything
