No, he's right next to the volcano area, the fairy i was able to give food to no problem. There's just a goriya here in the volcano and all he can say is grumble grumble. I've never seen a guide mention him before, so maybe he's unimportant.

Lovely, what do you usually use to figure out which heart piece you may or may not be missing? Because I'm currently going to just about every screen and using the lens of truth with mixed results.

As it stands, i recognized literally every heart piece the walkthrough already showed off, so I can only conclude that I must have died before getting one and just forgot about not getting it. This is going to suck.

I feel for you. Tracking down the last few parts of 100% in a large game is always one of the most tedious parts. :X

I'm half tempted to just look at the game data itself to find out which one isn't collected yet, but I'm starting to think I can't do that very easily.

 

Edit: It was on the island infront of the first freaking dungeon, how i forgot to at least use the raft that went here I'll never know, but at least i've got them all now.

Good luck on the final boss. He's a toughie, but you should be able to manage after everything you've been through.

Yeah, i figure if i use the cane in short controlled bursts i can survive to the second form without using up a potion. The only real issue is that I STILL feel like my run speed is slower than his movement speed, so like, when he charges up his instant kill, I can't catch up with him in time to interrupt him. Thankfully I know his hands share his health meter, but apparently one of them triggers mercy invincibility and the other doesn't? I'm not even going to BOTHER trying to hookshot my way out of this, since he'd still hit me with an attack right after that even if i did get perfect timing with it.

If you see him charge up his death ray, attack him ASAP. You will need to do 10 HP of damage to him (1 Sword Slash or 2 Sword Beams) to interrupt it. If you can't reach him in time, use Nayru's Love to avoid it. Hookshot dodging can work, but you need to time it very well to avoid the glyph that comes immediately afterwards.

Additionally the death ray indicates how close he is to death. If he is not moving while using it, he's still mostly alive. If he is moving, you've done a fair amount of damage to him. If he is moving and his fists are circling him, he is almost dead. Final Venser also starts it up more frequently as he gets lower on health.

I don't know how, but I somehow beat him, although i'm going to put most of the credit to the guy's own cane, since i could hit all three hitboxes at once with it. Also, question:

Why didn't he drop either of the triforce pieces he claimed to have? Where did they go? It seems like Zelda's saying that they just need to separate them again to keep him from coming back, but I never noticed them taking the pieces back. I mean, I almost expected him to drop them like Ganon in the original game did.

The boss rush is going to be pure hell, isn't it? Because i'm already having trouble against moldorm prime again, even with the cane. Granted, I'm probably just not being careful enough, I mean, i knew they were given buffs so this isn't TOO easy, but I figured I'd have an easy enough time with them anyways. I DO need to beat the hall of memories just to get the light arrows, which are themselves required for Not-Sheol, or at least for beating Stan, right?
