I have added an actual demo with unfinished areas blocked off. It features the first three initial pendant dungeons, but after that there's really nothing else yet.

Level One - Dark Palace- the boss is difficult to beat; with the semi-dark room and fireballs being thrown at Link it is difficult to get off  a single spin attack let alone multiple times to kill the beast.  You definitely have made it challenging......A hard stab will stun him, giving some time to execute the spin.  How many times must he be hit??

go to Level 2, grab the bow, come back to Level 1, and kill it with Arrows...

Shield is in level 1 somewhere. It's not a magic shield tho. That won't come till later.

Some enemies are afraid of fire and may freeze in fear! Try using the dungeon item on the boss. There's a potion to restore Magic somewhere in the dungeon just in case.

 

In addition there is a shop that sells Eagle Shields, but you must use the Magic Mirror to warp to it. The entrance is under a burnable bush in a small elevated area. Try warping near a cluster of yellow trees.

 

You can also locate an Eagle Shield for free once you have the Lakebed Temple's dungeon item.

I beat that hard-headed beeyatch boss in Level one.....a repetitive stab and chase and release the spin shizzle!! Get it going in a rhythm..... (Seriously, that's the stuff that makes a quest GREAT...the shout out "I did it" moments. Good one Bagel!!

There is a shop to the right of the lake in a cave....shield for 50 rupees but it just about the next thing to no shield at all.
